Thought for Today

Mountaineers talk about having difficulties breathing the higher you go up.

When you meditate or practise yoga and achieve samadhi, i.e. realise yourself as Spirit, you are breathless. The breath of God is breathlessness.

Maybe mountaineers should just discard their oxygen tanks and just be.

Just a thought.

The Real Self

The wheels on the bus go round and round.
round and round.
round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all through the town!

The people on the bus go up and down.
up and down.
up and down.
The people on the bus go up and down,
all through the town! The Wheels on the Bus
"The Spirit of God, I realized, is exhaustless Bliss" Autobiography of a Yogi
We say God is Love? What is Love? Love is not a feeling but a consciousness that is devoid of thoughts, concepts and ideas. It is an acceptance of all that is. Another word for Love is inexhaustible bliss.

"So, how was your weekend?" your friend asks you.
"Great, thank you."
"What did you do?"
"Well, on Saturday morning, I woke up at 7 o'clock then I went back to sleep. When I woke up again I looked at the clock and it was 9 o'clock. Then I went to the bathroom to have a pee. Then I brushed my teeth. Then I cooked myself some English breakfast, the whole works: sausage, eggs, bacon, baked beans, two slices of toast, a cup of sweet tea and some orange juice. After I had finished eating I did the washing up. Then I..."
"Whoa! Can you skip the details and tell me what you really got up to?"
"I am telling you what I did. Then I went to run myself a bath. While I was running the bath the phone started ringing so I.."
"Look, forget it."
"But I haven't described the whole weekend yet."
"You're alright. I'm sure you had a lovely weekend."

Imagine if I described my days in this way, people will get bored. You have to embellish it to make your life sound exciting and meaningful. When I embellish my life, I am dreaming.

The universe is a sequence of events that go round and round like the wheels on a bus. Incidentally, I have a thing about wheels. I observe wheels on cars, buses and lorries and how some wheels have different number of spokes, and how you can't see the spokes when the car is moving. When I'm in an analytical frame of mind, I wonder how fast a car has to move for me not to see it.

Experiences are dream events that move on like images on a projector screen. My real self and the self of all, observes every sequence without judgment. Judgment is when one attributes meanings to an experience. You watch a movie and you describe the movie from your perspective. But if you were describing the movie as your real self, you will simply describe everything that happened in every sequence without analysis. As the real self you will never get a job as a film critic.

When I interact in an event or an experience I have stopped being the real self and I am dreaming. As the dreamer you can read meanings into an event which creates another experience. Thus, there is only one movie but there are billions of perspectives of the same movie. There is only one life but there are infinite perspectives of the one life.

Yesterday on my bus ride home I observed life as my real self. I watched cars, people, shops, wheels, conversations. As the bus drove down a particular street, I saw a man lying in the road and a paramedic over him. I watched a policeman speaking to a man in a taxi nearby. I watched passers-by observing the scene. I watched pedestrians further down the same street oblivious to the accident at the other end. I got of that bus. I waited for another bus. I watched a bunch of cyclists ride by accompanied by a police car. I watched more pedestrians. I got on my bus and watched two passengers sitting opposite me holding hands. I closed my eyes. On my walk home I watched my legs running up and down some stairs. I watched my legs moving faster and faster. I watched houses and trees in the neighbourhood. I opened the front door and said hello to my mother and adjusted myself to the dream of mother and daughter. Being the real self doesn't go down too well with my mother as she thinks I'm ignoring her or upset about something.

Naturally, I am here to experience life and that involves dreaming. You dream what you wish to experience and when it does, you experience it with detachment. You remember not to read meanings into events unless you have to. You also remember that even when you are reading meanings, or dreaming, you do so with detachment. You treat your body as part of the sequence of events. So if you feel a particular sensation, you simply observe it as a dream event and watch it pass. The moment you start to feel and wonder what the sensation is and what the cause is, you're stuck in a dream. A stuck dream can feel very painful indeed.

Life as the real self is very similar to when one is asleep and dreaming, one is not aware of time. For the real self, time is meaningless.

The real self is inexhaustible bliss.

Wonder versus Wondering

I wrote in a piece called Living in the Wonder that Wonder is our natural state of being. In Wonder there is no need to worry about life as everything is. You simply bask in the magic of Wonder. As Wonder we are in a consciousness that is usually referred to as oneness.

I also wrote that wondering about why life is gets us out of Wonder. Wondering creates an imagined "split," a dream self who goes about wondering, trying to figure life out. The dream self dreams up untold possibilities of what he believes life to be. The dream self imagines he has to learn from experiences so he dreams up experiences that teach him about his dream life. The dream self imagines his lessons are helping him to expand and evolve towards perfection. His dreams appear to come to life.

While the dreamer can dream up wonderful dreams, the dreams are still about wondering. None of the dreams are real, but to the dreamer they are very much real. The dreamer has forgotten he is dreaming and that he is Wonder. He has forgotten that his real self, Wonder, doesn't need to learn anything as he is all that is. He has forgotten that there are no causes in Wonder, it all is.

As we experience life we appear to have two selves. There is the part of us that is naturally joyful and in bliss; and the other part that struggles and believes life is a school. In most, it is the struggling part that is more dominant. Let's say you're in a situation, a nightmare you've dreamed up, and need to be released. You call out for help. The real self, Wonder, tells the wondering dreamer that everything is perfect. All is well. To the dream self, this doesn't make any sense. How can everything be perfect when you're hurting. Get me out of here! But you'll continue to hear the words "It's all perfect."

It is not that Wonder has got her head buried in the sand, she knows only what is real and perfect. As it is written in the scriptures:

"Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity." (Habakkuk 1: 13)
The real self can't see what doesn't exist, she can only continue to state what is true, that all is perfect. If you take on board what the real self is telling you the dreamer and believe, you will wake up out of that dream. What is unlike perfection is wiped out and is replaced by the real self perfection. Bear in mind that it's not up to you to wonder about the how for it is wondering that got you in the dream state in the first place. Just know that it is all perfect and let the mystery of the Wonder be.

I want to end by saying that in this website, I take on two perspectives: that of the dreamer or wondering and that of Wonder. You will note that as the dreamer self I'm looking at possible reasons and causes while as Wonder I am simply exploring being. Is it a game I'm playing? No. As I was raised in the dream, I took on the habit of wondering and evolving. When I woke up and realised myself as Wonder, I still had the habit of wondering though it is abating.

One thing I know for sure, wondering is a figment of the imagination. There is only the Wonder.

Thought for Today

They say we must drink lots of water every day to replace fluids lost through perspiration, excretion or whatever. When it’s really hot you’re meant to drink a lot more. Bottled water companies must love heat waves.

But when you realise that you live in Wonder and that everything is perfect, why would you need to drink more water? Unless you want to just because.

Yesterday was very hot in London. I went 24 hours without food or drink and walked for miles. How come I was still standing?

I tell a lie, I did snack on some tissue paper. Does tissue class as food, I wonder? Maybe eating tissue paper enables me to replace fluids lost through perspiration.

Just a thought.

With love,
Enocia

Living in the Wonder; Expect the Unexpected

"All is magnificent. All is marvelous. All is mysterious.
We live in a world of impossibility, implausibility, and awe. We look, we see, we wonder. We experience the sudden opening to the inexplicable vastness, the weirdness, the overwhelming profundity, the utter miracle and magic of life, of
ourselves, and of all that is.

"These are the numinous moments when the monumental impossibility and spaciousness of existence opens up before and within us, granting us the rare and spectacular interruptions of our day-to-day consciousness. Call it what you will: wonder, awe, satori, samadhi, newness of mind, ignorance, innocence, original mind, or childlike perception- it is the hallmark of a mind which has come to know the incomprehensible magnitude of all and everything, and from which the individual is ‘opened up’ and therefore reunited with the Great Mystery which is our birthright." (The Way of Wonder, Jack Haas)
Life is Wonder. Wonder is Being. The moment we start wondering about Wonder, we lose our Wonder. It's like Peace. Peace is because Peace is. When you try to understand what it means to be peaceful you make Peace finite.

We have spent timeless time wondering. We have wondered about life and death and whether death is real. But one question our wondering has not been able to answer is this: Why is Life? One can only conclude, as one is apt to conclude, that life is. In other words, life is causeless. What do I mean by causeless? That there is no cause for something to happen, it just does. Life is because it is.

Just this morning while I waited for a bus a man approached me and engaged me in a conversation. He wanted to know my origin. I told him I was from Sierra Leone though I was born in London. He asked me whether I was a Creole. I told him my mother is part Nigerian and I have no idea what my father's tribe is, nor do I particularly care. I asked him what he considered his origin to be. He said Africa; he insisted that the black race originates in Africa. I could see where he was coming from. I told him my origin is Spirit. Later, I pondered whether my origin as Spirit is true. What and why is Spirit? Spirit is. Why and what am I? Being. Isness. Being has no origin. Being does not exist. Being simply is.

Life is causeless. It's a difficult concept to accept because one is always looking for reasons why such and such is such and such. The mind lets you believe you need answers or that you have answers. The moment you formulate a question you get an answer, even if the answer has no legs to stand on. Causelessness is returning to my true nature of Wonder. Wonder is like a young child's view of the world. He has no notion of causes. As far as he's concerned, the food his mother has given him simply appears. Let's say a child has never had a particular food before. He doesn't yet know whether he likes or dislikes it or whether he should. When he's acquired the taste, or accumulated memory of the taste, if he likes it he starts having desires for it. Causelessness is the moment before one has desires when all is. Causelessness is enjoying the wonder of the universe because it is.

It is written in the scriptures that Adam and Eve lived in the “Garden of Eden” and were kicked out because they disobeyed the rule about not eating from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil.” The “Garden of Eden” represents our true state of being where we lived in Wonder. There is no need to worry about a thing as everything is perfect and is. We are well provided for.

Wondering, needing to know why life is, keeps one outside of the "Garden of Eden." Wondering is like looking at yourself in the mirror. Imagine if we never had mirrors. You would never worry about what you looked like. In fact, it wouldn't even occur to you to want to know. You will simply be. The moment you stare into a mirror, you start worrying about whether you look normal, beautiful, fat, thin, etc.

Another way to describe wondering is like having a feeling that you shouldn't get on a plane but you don't listen to your intuition. The plane crashes but you survive to tell the story. You could easily have avoided the crash and be able to tell a different story. But you needed to be sure, didn't you?

Yesterday was a day of Wonder.

I went on one of my walks in a park. This park is not exactly a traditional park with flowers and nice benches, it's more like a forest where you can get lost for hours, days even. I found a bench overlooking a little watering hole. After a few moments I realised it wasn't an ideal spot as cyclists and joggers occasionally went by. Maybe I could find another bench around a similar pool. I walked for a while, enjoying the forest and grateful for its shade. I still couldn't find what I was looking for. Just as I was about to give up and rest on the bark of a tree, I was inspired to keep on walking a few more yards. I came across a lone bench overlooking a watering hole. I sat down and basked in the stillness and beauty of the forest. Then I heard footsteps behind me. A deer skipped by. Wow, I never expected to see a deer so close! After a while, a dog appeared and had a swim in the pool. Then he ran off to join his guardian. Another dog appeared and splashed about in the pool. He didn't want to leave. His guardian, a woman, pretended she was leaving without him. The dog bounded after her.

Another woman and a dog turned up. I said to her, "This spot is very popular with dogs then."
"Not this one, he is scared of water," she said. "He'll only go in when he's really hot."

The dog eyed the pool for a few minutes then ran off into the forest. I also have a healthy respect for water; I'm not much of a swimmer but I am a good doggie paddler, if you'll excuse the pun.

There I was thinking that just because two dogs had splashed around in the pool, all dogs are inclined to do the same. That’s the problem with taking things for granted, or interpreting the world through habit. One has to be open to the wonder of life where every moment is magical. In Wonder you expect the unexpected.

On my walk back I decided to take another path. I had a vague idea where I was headed. I eventually came to an intersection. I was going to use logic to determine which way but I decided it didn't matter as I had all the time in the world. I ended up back on the main road where I started.

Reminds me of another walk I went on the other day. I put out the intent where I wanted to end up. I had no idea where I was but I "followed my nose." I met a woman on the way who asked me if I knew how to get to a certain pond. I told her I don't take much notice of pond names and couldn't help her. I'm sure she met someone else who could help. I arrived at my destination, effortlessly. For me, getting lost is part of the walk. A walk is a walk is a walk.

Back to yesterday's day of Wonder. While I was still walking, I came across a man and a young woman and I heard her say "...Descarte's rational approach to philosophy." Hmmm! Wonder and the "rational approach" are so chalk and cheese!

At the bus stop I found a book on the seat. It was a vocabulary for children. There were only about 10 pages showing German names for different foods. Banana is banane; orange juice is orangensaft; and sandwich is sandwich in case I was wondering. Hahaha! I've kept it as a souvenir for wondering.

On my bus ride a man smiled at me. He asked me my name, where I was from etc. He was trying to chat me up. In the spirit of Wonder, I enjoyed the moment. He held on to my hand and said "lovely, lovely, lovely."

On my travels, I noticed a woman's top had the word "LOVE"; the back of a man's shirt had the picture of a falcon; a man's vest and shorts were the colours of the Jamaican flag; and the front of a man’s t-shirt with a huge Smilie. At Oxford Street, I saw a whole bunch of roller-skaters. The traffic stopped to let them skate by. I wondered whether it was some kind of demonstration then I remembered that life is.

On the bus I sat across a young woman. I thought she had a pretty face. She asked me whether we’d arrived at Oxford Street as she needed to catch a bus from there. I knew that bus route and where she could catch it. She said she was a secretary but was training as an accountant. I told her I temped for a while as a secretary and I used to work in accountancy. I trained in personal tax but didn't fancy becoming a tax accountant so I left. We exchanged stories about accountancy. She was a lot of fun and it was lovely to enjoy her company.

Finally, I noticed a billboard Advert for Nissan. The slogan read: "More Power. Bigger Space. Better Stories." This slogan describes Wonder perfectly. To be Wonder (more power) you have to let go of what you think you know and are (bigger space) so you can have wonderful experiences (better stories). Hmmm! There I go wondering again! Hehehe!

Life is a Wonder to behold. Nuff said.

The Dream Called Death

Earlier today I met an old friend from college. We'd both studied media and cultural studies. She said she recently lost her mother. We had just enough time for me to share this website address when her bus arrived. We hugged and said goodbye.

I had a feeling that this encounter was an opportunity for me to address dying from another perspective.

What is death? Is death real?

Night dreams can seem so real I can easily forget that part of my awareness is in another reality called earth, where the body is sleeping. When I wake up in this reality, this seems like the only reality. What if I went to sleep and never woke up from this reality. In other words, what if I was stuck in a dream? I may not even realise I am stuck and treat that reality as the only real, forever. Those observing the physical body will presume I am dead and bury that body.

On the other hand, let's say I wake up from sleep one day back to this reality where I am typing this article. I have written elsewhere that just because people appear to be awake does not mean they are fully awake. They are still dreaming up experiences based on beliefs that we are only human destined to grow old and die, and that this reality is the only reality. Once you're dead that's it.

Let's say you are experiencing what you consider to be another day and you fall ill and drop dead. Again, people observing from this dream life will presume you are dead and bury your body, but you are very much aware of what's going on. You are frustrated with your loved ones because they are acting as if you're not there when you are so obviously present. You find it puzzling that your loved ones are weeping over your demise when you are so obviously alive. You try your best to let them know you're still alive but they can't hear you.

Why can't my loved ones see me? Where the hell am I? You no longer have a body that is discernible by the senses; you have a body of light. People in this dream realm expect humans to have solid, physical bodies, otherwise people think you're an angel, extra terrestrial, or an alien.

Remember how people in the dream realm called earth can get stuck in their way of thinking and not open to new ideas? Being in another dream realm is the equivalent of opening up to new ideas. Those who have strong beliefs are not likely to open to your ideas, are they? You have "entered" a dream that is different from earth reality. In your dream you can move at the speed of thought. How many humans do you know who can move that fast? Some might witness light around them and think their eyes are playing tricks with them, others might interpret the lights as angels and others might sense nothing at all.

You could also have "entered" a dream based on your beliefs. If you are religious and believe in a heaven realm, you will find yourself in your idea of heaven. You may even see entities that look to you like angels and other deities, depending on your beliefs. These entities will help orient you to your new surroundings.

Only those who are aware of the many dream realms will be aware of your presence. If you're really desperate to let your loved ones know you are still alive, you could ask someone who can access your dream realm to relay the message, that is if your loved ones are open to this mode of communication.

As you can see, death is simply going to sleep and waking up in another dream. It might feel painful for those who seem to have lost a loved one but it is still a dream. How does one wake up from this dream? This is what Jesus has to say about death:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." (John 8: 51)
Is this a metaphor? No, Jesus is speaking plainly and it is relevant for all time. When you realise the truth that only the One Eternal Life exists in all, death is simply going to sleep and waking up in another dream. According to the scriptures, when Jesus raised people from the dead, he never considered them dead but asleep.

We have been given the opportunity to wake up from all dreams. We are to realise the truth that there is only One Life in all. When we awake in that consciousness we shall not see death. We will know only eternal life. Then we can consciously walk into another dream realm with our bodies fully intact.

Divine Love Always Meets Our Needs

Divine Love can shape-shift into any reality to meet our needs.

A few days ago I heard my mother, who I live with, sneezing. She said she had hay fever. She also asked me to buy her some ginger to help fight off the sore-throat and cough she was expecting. As expected, her hay fever developed into a full-on cold and cough. Two days ago she was coughing so hard she couldn't sleep.

It was a bit of a dilemma for me. On the one hand I have no intention of imposing my beliefs on her. While she has been open to spiritual healing in the past, she prefers using medicines and doctors. On the other hand, I can love her unconditionally whether she is open or not. So I dreamed or imagined many healing angels around her taking care of her. I also saw her as Light. When I got home yesterday I asked her how she was and she said a lot better. Last night she slept right through and no cough.

This morning I said to her that her cold and cough had disappeared all of a sudden. She attributed the sudden healing to a cough and cold mixture she bought yesterday which she believed was excellent. I reminded her that God is the healer.

God, the Cosmic Dreamer, can take on any form we're comfortable with, even cough and cold remedies.

Love and Light,
Enocia

In Your Dreams!

Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
When I want you in my arms
When I want you and all your charms
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream Everly Brothers
"The substance of a dream is held in materialization by the subconscious thought of the dreamer. When that cohesive thought is withdrawn in wakefulness, the dream and its elements dissolve. A man closes his eyes and erects a dream-creation which, on awakening, he effortlessly dematerializes. He follows the divine archetypal pattern. Similarly, when he awakens in cosmic consciousness, he will effortlessly dematerialize the illusions of the cosmic dream." Autobiography of a Yogi
Once I had a dream that was so vivid it was as if I was awake, then I realised I was dreaming. I woke up and went to the bathroom only to realise I was still asleep. I then went back to sleep and woke up again and went to the bathroom only to realise I was still asleep. Then it happened again. When I finally woke up I had to pinch myself to test whether I was still asleep and not dreaming. Did I really wake up from that dream, I wonder?

Every morning, depending on what part of the planet you live in, millions of people wake up to go about their business. What they are in effect doing is going back to sleep so they can dream some more. Yes, you wake up and go back to sleep to dream. Do you think dreaming only occurs when you drift off to sleep or when you are having fantasies? Dreams are a lot more sophisticated than we think.

Dreams are all around us. People are dreaming, we are all dreaming. The many world and personal beliefs, our employments, our lifestyles and the media are all dreams. Think about it, since there is only the Formless One in all, does the Formless One need to work? Does the Formless One need a cup of tea? Does the Formless One get hungry? Does the Formless One have any needs? All the needs we've created and have are all dreams.

The thing about dreamers is they are always trying to invite others into their dreams. This is done through sharing of experiences. Yesterday I went for a walk in a park. I met this woman who was walking two dogs, the type that have lots of fur but I don't know the name of the breed. I stopped to have a conversation with her. To make yourself understood in any dream you have to speak in dream language. I asked the woman how her dogs coped the day before when it was really hot, as we were all collectively dreaming it was. To think dogs are affected by the weather is a belief and not one I subscribe to, but I was trying to make a dream conversation. The woman said her dogs were fine but she observed many people with sweat dripping off them as people are not used to the sudden heat wave, at least not in the dream terrain called the United Kingdom. She said as she's got pale skin, she has to be very careful she doesn't get sunburnt. She showed me her legs and she did have pale dream legs. She said she needs to use a high factor sun lotion to protect herself otherwise she develops a rash which can last for up to a month. She even asked me why some people are so sensitive to the sun, as if I knew. Or maybe she was looking at my dark dream body and thinking the dream melanin protects me from the dream sun.

Speaking of which, years back, a friend and I went into town. It was a scorching day and my friend, who is also black, decided we should have some sunscreen. I agreed as I believed in the dream of sun protection at the time. She bought the highest factor the shop had. The cream was so thick it wouldn't rub in and left a white glow on our arms. It was one of the funniest dreams I've ever experienced.

Back to the encounter with my dream friend, like any dream conversation I pretended to agree with her while I tried to stay awake and not get sucked into her dream. After a few minutes we said goodbye and I continued on my dream walk. This is what I mean about dreamers sharing their dream experiences, you have to be very alert otherwise you end up living in another's dream.

There is one dream that seems so powerful that, if you are not awake, it ends up dreaming you. Collective beliefs come under this category. For instance, you observe people suffering from all manners of diseases because they are asleep and the collective dream is dreaming them into being.

This leads me to the notion of being awake. I am going to first of all address what being awake is not. People have their ideas about what it means when one is awake. The popular yardstick is that those who are awake should be able to perform great party tricks. Mystics have warned students on the path to beware of siddhis or psychic powers which can distract the student from the spiritual path. There are books galore about how to develop one's psychic powers. Just because someone appears to know how to read your mind is no big deal. Anyone who realises that there is only one mind can do this. If you know how to work with energy you can create realities that will astound many. Advertisers use mind-control techniques to get consumers to buy their products all the time, does this mean they are awake? To think one is awake because of one's psychic powers is nothing but a dream.

To be awake is to be conscious of being in a dream and that others around you are dreaming. You are also aware that you are also dreaming otherwise you wouldn't need a dream body and be in a dream. You are a lucid dreamer. You are very much aware of the various dreams and can tell when another dreamer is trying to entice you, albeit with good intention, into his dream. You also know how to filter out collective dreams passing off as beliefs about medicine, nutrition, diseases, aging, death etc.

This might be my dream but I believe that one reason why it's important to wake up is so you get access to unlimited energy. You see, it takes a lot of energy to dream. When you are creating different scenarios you are distracted into believing your dream is real. It matters not whether they are nice dream or nightmares, none of them are real. But we would all prefer to experience wonderful dreams. Those who would like to sustain the dream of control prefer to see people imprisoned in dream realities. All is not lost, however. Though you may appear stuck in a particular dream, you already know how to free yourself from an undesired dream as you practise this daily. How? Just before you go to sleep, there is a moment between falling asleep and dreaming. This moment is pure awareness; when you are pure Energy and free from all dreams. Some are able to stay a long time in this awareness while others are not. One can consciously stay in the state of pure awareness when one meditates or is in silence.

Have you ever had a dream that was so wonderful you didn't want it to end? I have, lots of times. I am usually very disappointed when I return to this dream realm as I so wish I could superimpose that dream over this reality. To be able to live in the realm of your dreams requires unlimited energy. In order for us to have unlimited energy to dream bigger and more glorious dreams of freedom, peace, love, beauty and abundance you need to wake up from your petty dreams and nightmares.

How does one wake up or at least be a lucid dreamer? By intent. When you want to wake up at a certain time in the morning, don't you put out an intent? The intent might take the form of an alarm clock that goes off at the time you want to get up, or you find you wake up at the exact time you need to get up. In the same way, if you want to wake up from the dream, you need to put out an intent that you want to wake up.

Earlier, I discussed a dream I had of waking up only to realise I was still asleep. The dream realm is like an onion with layer upon layer of skin. Not only are there unlimited dream realities or beliefs in this dream reality called Earth, there are also unlimited dream realms. If you haven't woken up from this dream reality and you dream yourself dead, you will fall right back to sleep and wake up in another dream realm. You may have a different dream body but you will still be fast asleep. To be a lucid dreamer, you need to wake up from all dreams.

Naturally, it is very time-consuming trying to wake up from all dreams. The easiest way to wake up is to realise that there is only One Cosmic Dreamer in all the numberless dreamers. The Cosmic Dreamer is Universal Energy. You are that Cosmic Dreamer. You are then free to dream wondrous dreams if you choose.

Sweet dreams! Maybe, I should say, wakey, wakey!

All my love,
The Cosmic Dreamer

Giving Thanks

"I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving." (Psalm 69: 30)
"O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." (Psalm 106: 1)
"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
When we receive gratitude, don't we feel like giving more of ourselves? How often do we remember to give thanks to God, Spirit, Source, the All That Is?

It's easy to thank someone or God for what has already happened as you can see the evidence. How grateful are we for something we've not yet experienced? Giving thanks demonstrates faith in the unseen. When one, however, understands that all good exists in the unseen, gratitude is inevitable. Giving thanks invokes God's powers to manifest what already is.

The scriptures tell us that thanking God magnifies his name. Since God is all in all, this suggests that whatever you thank God for is increased. It is written in the bible that just before Jesus multiplied the five loaves and two fishes which were multiplied to feed over five thousand people, he gave thanks.

Let us give thanks in all we do.

At the start of the day, I thank God for the perfect day. Gratitude is having faith that I expect my day to unfold perfectly.

On my journeys by bus I thank the driver when I get on board. Gratitude is having faith that my bus ride will go smoothly.

Before eating I give thanks to God and the one who has prepared the meal. Gratitude is having faith that the meal is perfect and good.

I also give thanks to God for the ideas flowing through me that I post on this website. Gratitude is having faith that ideas are unfolding effortlessly.

When I pray for any experience I give thanks. Gratitude is having faith that my prayer has been heard and unfolding perfectly.

All my love and gratitude to God and all life.

Staying in the Moment

Ongoing dialogue with the Inner Voice (IV).

EJ: Tell me, what does it really mean to stay in the moment?

IV: Before I answer this question, let us examine what a day is. Every day you wake up, if you do sleep, you welcome a new day. A new day suggests cumulative events in time and space, but there is no such thing as a new day. There is only one Day and every day is the unfolding of eternity; the unfolding of the one Day.

EJ: Unfolding of eternity?

IV: It means every day you have access to eternity itself. Everything that has ever happened and will ever happen exists in that day. You say Jesus walked the earth over two thousand years ago. This is false. Two thousand years ago exists now.

EJ: I'm sure many people will have difficulties with the concept of "two thousand years ago exists now." Will you please elaborate.

IV: Let's take the example of Jesus. You think that the works he did, the miracles performed, was done in isolation to what you are experiencing now. You believe it was then and this is now. Wrong! Know that the One Consciousness/I Am that is in all was then and is now. This means that each of you sharing the One Consciousness was present when Jesus walked the earth. This is the mystery behind Jesus' statement "Before Abraham was, I am." (John 8: 58) The "I Am" is beginningless and endless. Jesus realised his identity as the I Am that was never born, thus the I Am is always there whether one is having a human life, such as Abraham, or not.

EJ: I get you. So though we may not have been in form when Jesus was alive as a human, we were actually present because we were the I Am working through him.

IV: That's right. And another thing, the same I Am is in you now and within everyone. This means that all information from the beginning of beginningless time exists now and forever in you. To claim it you simply need to recognise your identity as the I Am That I Am.

EJ: This is brilliant! To think that we collectively exist in all moments whether as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna or Enocia! That's just fantastic!

IV: Indeed. Back to your question about what it means to stay in the moment. Every moment is an unfolding of eternity itself. Staying in the moment is having access to eternity and enjoying what comes up.

EJ: Staying in the moment doesn't just mean you're just focused on the present, what is happening now, right?

IV: Of course not. What is the present? Tune in to any radio station and you'll hear a combination of modern and old songs. If you were really staying in the present, you wouldn't be open to old music. Thus, each moment encompasses what you refer to as the past, present and future.

EJ: What then is the purpose of a day?

IV: A day gives you two opportunities to explore another aspect of eternity or the one Day.

EJ: What are they?

IV: The first is for you to explore all that is, all experiences that ever have been, from a new perspective. By "new" I don't mean that you are creating something that doesn't exist. I mean letting the possibility that already is unfold through you the observer or experiencer. It is rather like looking through a kaleidoscope. You might be inspired to explore old teachings from the perspective of where you are now, thus the old is understood in a "new" way.

EJ: I understand. And the second opportunity?

IV: Here's a riddle.

EJ: Oh, goodie!

IV: What is the result when one million apples are added to infinite apples?

EJ: No difference as infinity is always infinity.

IV: OK. What happens when you take away 500 billion apples from infinite apples?

EJ: No difference, infinity is not affected whether something is added or taken away from it. What does this have to do with the second opportunity?

IV: The Infinite never changes, thus, experiences make no dent on Infinity. Even if there were infinite forms in manifestation, they will still not make a dent on the Infinite. Therefore, every day is an opportunity to unfold new ideas from the Infinite that have never been experienced before. Remember that this does not suggest you are creating something new but unfolding what has never been explored before, though it already exists in the unmanifest state.

EJ: How can ideas exist in an unmanifest state?

IV: Here's an analogy. Science has revealed that when an egg is fertilised by a sperm to form the embryo, the cells develop until they form a new foetus. In the early stages of pregnancy, all the organs are perfectly formed. It is actually the Spirit that quickens the cells to form a new life. If the foetus is not disturbed by human beliefs, it will grow perfectly to full term. The unmanifest state is like the young foetus where all is perfectly formed waiting for the right moment to give birth. The right moment for the unmanifest state is when one intends it is so.

EJ: How does one know what exists in the unmanifest state? You could dream up all sets of scenarios like we do as humans.

IV: You realise there is one Life unfolding through you. The One will give you desires of wanting to experience expansion, freedom, love, truth and goodness. You then trust in the One to unfold, give birth to, what already exists in the unmanifest or foetal state.

Every moment and day is an opportunity to be all that you are. I'm sure when you look back at the you you were a year ago, it seems as if you've evolved. There is no such thing as evolution. You are always and completely the All That Is. But in terms of human experience, you are always unfolding parts of the All that you are. Know that just because you have mobile phones and DVDs now does not mean the ideas did not always exist two thousand years ago. It's just that there were no channels willing to express these ideas.

EJ: Reminds me of ring-tones. Years back before mobile phones became popular, I used to spend hours on the phone to a particular friend. The dials had ringtones. We used to play basic music to each other like the song Doe a Deer. We had this idea that we should make up more songs and whenever we spoke we played new tunes. We had a lot of fun with this. Years later, the same idea was developed into ringtones which are now used on mobiles.

IV: You missed your opportunity to make millions.

EJ: Oh, well.

IV: Nevermind! All ideas are eternal. This is why you'll find civilizations who existed thousands of years ago with technologies that are more advanced than humanity has now. If you think in terms of evolution, it will not make sense why a civilization from the past should be more advanced. When ideas are understood to be eternal, you can access any idea at any moment. This is why every moment is an opportunity to unfold something new whether viewing what already exists in a new way, or unfolding something new that is in the unmanifest state.

EJ: There's much to ponder here.

IV: Trust you find it useful.

EJ: I always do. Thank you.

With Love,
Enocia

Life is Unfolding Perfectly

"Matter, thought, and energies all intersect on one plane of existence. Spirit is on a different but parallel plane. On the material plane there is energy and the experience of matter, time, and movement. On the true-self plane, there is only the pure experience of love, oneness or unity. No thought is necessary because there is nothing to think about and no comparisons to make. There is no doing, because doing implies improving or getting something. In the true-self plane, where all is perfect there is nothing to improve upon and nothing that needs additions or fixing. These are all functions of the body, which is a material perspective.

[...]"Angels, Holy Spirit, ascended masters, and evolved spirit guides know the truth of life's divine perfection. However, they also see that we need help while we still believe we are in the material world. Their role is to function on both planes to help us gently awaken to our higher selves in the spirit plane." (The Lightworker's Way, Doreen Virtue, p. 240)
I've written elsewhere that a verse from Psalm 118 forms part of my daily prayer:

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118: 24)
This means that everything is always perfect.

Yesterday while I was working on a piece in the library, the Internet went down. I saved my work on a floppy. I reflected on what the network problem means and started writing a piece about the symbolism of the LAN (local area network) versus the WAN (wide area network). As I typed away I found I had to stop and think. If I have to think about what I'm writing it means it's not coming from the One Self in all.

I pondered about oneness. Since all experiences are the One Being in every way, nothing can oppose the one will. While the network problems appeared to be opposing the one Will, I knew this wasn't true. If what I wanted to do was really important, I could very easily go to an Internet Cafe. The day is the Lord's, therefore, everything is perfect. This can only mean that the One in me is wanting to be something or be somewhere else. I had intended to go into town anyway so I went to catch my bus.

While I waited for my bus, I was approached by a man I've seen a few times in the library. It's been a while since I last saw him. The first time he introduced himself, he said he was a film maker for MGM studios. At the time I couldn't decide whether he was serious or nuts. Oops, there I go passing judgments. Am I Being judgmental? Hehehe! Hey, I'm sure many people think I'm bonkers. To cut a long story short, he was travelling on the same bus into town and even getting off at the same stop. While I accept all is the One, therefore, the man is me, I didn't fancy spending a whole hour with a me who speaks...er...gibberish. I considered getting off and waiting for another bus then he started talking about God's will and his belief in the One Truth in all religions, though he is a Hindu. That was the sign I needed.

We chatted for a while. Though we were speaking the same language, half of what he was saying made no sense to me. I had a feeling I was to just be and enjoy our beingness. I was also inspired to tell him everything was OK and he shouldn't worry about a thing. Then he fell asleep and I stayed in silence till we got into town.

Doreen Virtue has written in The Lightworker's Way that there are two types of healers: psychic and spiritual. Psychic healers work in the realm of the material where sickness, pain, suffering and the ego appear very much real. In the material realm, we appear to be separate. Psychic healers work with energy to transmute thought-forms. Spiritual healers on the other hand, realise that all is One and perfect, therefore, there is no need to fix anything. It is a realm of being.

I have worked as a psychic healer before. My work now is as Spirit plane when I am to simply be the Love that I am. It doesn't mean I sit around and do nothing, but to act in beingness. This article, for example, it is an effortless process of being. The moment I start thinking, I know the ideas are not coming from my "true-self" but that of the ego which is a doing state. So life for me is a constant realising that all is the One being and it is perfect.

Another way to put it is when you are being, the world around you transforms to reflect that perfection. Ordinary errands are effortless. For instance, last night I went into the supermarket on my way home to buy my mother some ginger. I noticed there were long queues on the few checkouts that were open. I only had one packet of ginger. A member of staff suddenly appeared and pointed me to the customer service desk where there was no queue. This may seem ordinary but this is what it means when you are being which creates situations where you don't need to worry about a thing. Roads are clear when you want to cross, buses turn up when you arrive at a bus stop, you sit next to someone who you need to be with and all is perfect. The moment you're out of your being-ness and in the state of thinking or doing-ness, "all hell breaks loose."

I reckon it's about time they created a new job title called Being. Imagine meeting someone for the first time and he asks,

"What do you do?"
"I am a be-er."
"Fosters, Heineken or Tennants?" Hahaha! Couldn't resist it.

There is only One Life expressing Self in all. The One expresses by being. I am a Be-er and proud of it.

Life is unfolding perfectly.

Love and Light,
Enocia

The Game of Expansion

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10: 10)
There is the One Life in all but how open are we to express the One Life? What would it mean to live abundant life?

The One Life can express life of course in many ways. What if you wanted to express health more abundantly? Here's an idea I've had, a game I play.

Imagine yourself as the One Life flowing through you as radiant health and feel it expand through your body. You could imagine there is a dial like on a thermostat that you could turn up to the max or have it wherever you feel comfortable.

You could imagine radiant health expanding like a balloon does. You could let it expand to however you want or watch it expand forever.

What if you expanded radiant health to infinity where every moment is radiance. What would this feel like?

You can then play with Life expanding as other aspects in you such as ideas, friendship, wealth, peace, love, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Let the One Life expand through you and express as you.

With Love,
Enocia

The Presence

Continuing the dialogue with the Inner Voice (IV).

EJ: I want to talk about the idea of oneness.

There must have been a time on earth when there were less than a billion humans, now there are over 6 billion. It is said that it is only the One Presence in all. Please clarify what it means for the One presence to have life as the many.

IV: The One Presence in all is the equivalent of having your own house. Let's say your have bought a 3 bedroom house and you also own the freehold of the land forever. What if you wished to build an extension to your house, is that extension part of your house or someone else's?

EJ: It is your house, you've simply expanded your property.

IV: What if you decided to add more storeys to your house, are the extra storeys still part of your home or are they someone else's?

EJ: Provided you've got planning permission of course, it is still your house, you've simply expanded your property.

IV: Do you see where I am going with this?

EJ: What you are saying is the house is the One Presence who can expand to accommodate the many alterations and additions to the house but is still the one house, am I right?

IV: Not quite but there are similarities. The house changes through modifications and its value may increase or decrease depending on market forces. I, the One Presence, never change; nothing can add to or take away from my perfection. I simply am.

Ownership is the equivalent of Presence. Your name is on that property for as long as it's yours. It matters not whether the house is refurbished, modified or extended, the ownership status remains the same. Everything in that house is yours. Even if you let it out the property is still yours. Similarly, I am the One Presence in all, everywhere, whether there are 1 billion life forms or infinite life forms.

What if you decided you wanted to demolish the house that you've refurbished in favour of a shopping mall, is that shopping mall yours or someone else's?

EJ: It is yours of course as long as you still own it.

IV: In other words, whether there are infinite life forms or none, I am the One eternal Presence.

EJ: Thank you. I like this metaphor very much, it makes a lot of sense now why there is always the One Presence no matter what. The One Presence truly is life.

IV: Yes.

EJ: I had a thought this morning. As one develops awareness of self, you think about your body as you, then your think of your family and friends as yours. You might continue to expand your idea of self to include work colleagues, those of similar race, nationality, education, politics, gender, religion and class as you. You might even expand your sense of self to include all of humanity. There are those who continue expanding self to include the earth, the solar system, the universe until your self encompasses all. Then you can say that you are the One Self.

IV: This is the secret of God-realisation: realising your self as the one Self and Presence in all. Then you are everything, the one "I" in all.

EJ: When you realise yourself as the One Self or Presence, it doesn't matter what part of the galaxy you are experiencing life, all is one.

IV: Indeed.

EJ: This is great. I'm enjoying our dialogues.

IV: Thank you.

EJ: No, thank you.

IV: No, thank you.

EJ: We could go on like this forever.

IV: We already are.

EJ: Indeed.

With Love,
The One "I"

I Am Being

There is only One having life. You cannot pick and choose what should be included in oneness and what should be left out. Oneness is all-inclusive. It takes practice to be able to see all as you. I have to admit there are some things I find challenging like the weather, or thought forms passing off as the weather. I feel the wind and sometimes I resist as I don't much care for breeze, then I remember to affirm "Only One Exists."

Yesterday, I had this idea to go for a walk but was in two minds about it as the place I had in mind didn't appeal to me. I had stopped walking along the local canal because part of that footpath has holes and when it rains, which it had earlier, one has to hopscotch around the puddles. While I don't mind puddles, I have to be in the mood. Why was I thinking about walking along that particular canal?

I got on the bus in the direction of the canal. At one point, the bus stopped at a traffic light. A car pulled up beside us and it was blasting out one of my favourite Michael Jackson tracks Don't Stop Till You Get Enough from my favourite album of his, Off the Wall. It was as if I was being acknowledged for the piece I wrote about him the other day (see link). I moved my head to the beat until the car moved away. A passenger behind me asked me if I was a fan. I said I was a big fan.

The bus arrived at the stop where I was meant to get off but I couldn't be bothered. At the next stop I felt a force compelling me to get off so I did, reluctantly. I decided to walk in the opposite direction to the canal, along the river which was very pleasant. I met a few people on the way. I even came across and stroked a reluctant dog being dragged along on its walk. I know how you feel doggie.

After a while I was going to get the bus back because I was still reluctant to walk along the canal further down but I had a feeling I should head in that direction. I had a thought to practise "I am being." This means that it is not the personality Enocia walking but the one "I" in all walking or being. I am not seeing other walkers and cyclists "I" am being. I walked in silence. I had a sense of oneness that everyone was taking that walk with me. It was as if I wasn't actually walking, I was being walked. When the One is taking the walk, every step is new and so you're not tired. When I arrived at the footpath along the canal I saw the holes had been sealed. Excellent! I walked in stillness.

Just as I was going to turn off the canal I had a feeling I should stay on the footpath until further down. After a few minutes I saw a young man throwing up. He had his bicycle beside him. I asked him if he was OK. He said he wasn't feeling well and blamed his sickness on the smell coming from the canal. He also told me where he'd cycled from which was a long way away. The funny thing is I'd just come from the same place and had to get two buses to get back. He said he just felt like cycling from there to where I live. I wished him well and he thanked me for my concern. After a few minutes I heard a cyclist approaching behind me at full speed so I stepped out of the way. It was the young man all energised. He waved and sped off. What are the chances of meeting someone who has just come from the same place as you. Easy. There is no such thing as a coincidence, there is only the One being.

Later while I was asleep I woke up to pins and needles again as if my whole body was on fire. I thought "I am Being." I was immediately in peace and went back to sleep. I had a kind of nightmare; I was being attacked by a man who had just murdered someone. Just as he was about to inject me with poison, I thought "I am Being," and the man stopped and realised he had no intention of hurting me. Then I woke up from that dream.

The dream represents what happens when we are not in oneness and see others as different from us. We are always in defence. The moment you realise all is One, you wake out of that nightmare.

In a previous article called The Real Work I talked about Mickey Mouse jobs. This morning while I was waiting for a bus, a young lady stood next to me. She had on a jacket that had pictures of guess who? Mickey Mouse. Yeah, yeah Universe, very funny!

"I am Being" is a powerful affirmation that acknowledges that there is only the One having life. The One "I" is Infinite love, peace, joy, truth, and good, and the one life in all. Every action is "I am Being."

I am Being,

Finding Peace

"The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17: 20-21)
"I am the LORD; and there is none else." (Isaiah 45: 18)
Everyone is looking for peace of mind. We know it exists and is achievable otherwise we wouldn't want it so much. We believe peace of mind leads to peace in the world. We look for peace in others and in places. How do we find lasting peace? I can only speak from experience.

I first experienced the peace of God "which passeth all understanding" during meditation. Though I knew this lasting peace to be within, I couldn't duplicate it in my every day life. I still had the belief of peace being outside of me. I believed a particular place would give me peace. I even went through a phase when I hated living in London as I didn't think it was a place of peace. I also believed peace could be found around certain people and not with others. When I started living with my mother, I found I couldn't be at peace around her as we were so different. I spent lots of time on my own wanting to be in peace. I believe it is very important to spend time on your own to be at peace, but if you are not at peace when you're with others, you haven't quite got peace.

During my search for the peace that I already am, I came across the concept of "to have peace you must give it away." I was even involved in group meditations for peace and practised my own blessing ritual for peace. Can you imagine how many meditations for peace are carried out each day? Why is there no lasting peace? Because it's not that simple. Giving away peace through blessing or whatever ritual is simply channelling energy to a place or people. If it's someone you're giving peace to, he will feel peaceful for a short while. But if he wants to continue to have this energy he either has to keep asking for more or look to the source so he can have unlimited supply of peace. As for the one giving to receive, well again, why not find the source so you will also have access to unlimited energy?

With further meditation practice, I realised that the peace of God was who I am. I didn't have to give peace to have it as I was/am peace. It no longer mattered what was going on around me as I was peaceful. I could let things be and accept things as they are. Naturally, you have to remain in that consciousness. You have to master inner silence where you can go about your business and be in silence. The moment you start thinking it's back to square one. But at least I knew this peace was always present.

I believe there is a way to have lasting peace without effort. This is realising that only One exists. The One is the only Love, Life, Truth and Power. Since there is only the One, there is no other to oppose the One. When you haven't got anyone to oppose you what is there to fight about? When you have nothing to fight over, you are peaceful.

To put it another way oneness, the One being the One, means there is only you. What you do to others you are doing to yourself as there is only you. Thus, you love others as self not because loving others makes you loving or gives you love, but because it is the only way to be. The other you might appear different but he is still you. The other you might have a face that looks like a screen and a keyboard attached to it, but it is you. Peace is realising that all is One.

Jesus describes Oneness this way:

"When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male and the female not be female, when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in the place of a hand, and a foot in the place of a foot, and an image in the place of an image, then shall you enter the Kingdom." (The Gospel of Thomas)
Nations will stop fighting other nations when people realise they are One.

Yesterday while waiting for a bus, a woman joined me at the stop. I smiled at her but she didn't return my smile. She stooped and found a penny. I thought to myself, Damn! Why didn't I find that penny? Oh well, she's me anyway so if she's happy, I am happy. I watched the woman clean the penny with a piece of tissue and kiss it. Then the woman explained to me in broken English that in the Czech Republic where she is from, when you find a penny you kiss it because it's considered good luck. I smiled at her. Then she talked about the British weather which is forever changing. We both laughed. She described the weather back home and her life over there. She said she was a school teacher in the Czech Republic but can't teach in the UK because her English is not very good. She said she has to work as a nanny or child minder. For a few minutes we chatted like old friends. Then our bus arrived and we parted company. I knew she was me in disguise and there was peace between us. Even if we hadn't chatted, there would still be peace. This is a demonstration of oneness.

There is already peace on earth for peace is who we are.

Love and Peace,
Enocia

I am Light

"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1: 5)
Continuing the dialogue with the Inner Voice (IV)

EJ: What does it mean when some mystics have described God as Light? What is this Light?

IV: Many have experienced my presence in Yoga, meditation and other altered states and have interpreted me as Light. It is a way of the mind trying to conceptualise, give the formless a form; thus, mind comes up with a kind of image, light.

EJ: Wait a minute, are you saying you are not light? I have experienced you as light. I have experienced you as radiant light orange or is it white light with a tinge of orange? Whatever. I've still experienced you as light and when I was drawn into your light and I became the light, I felt immense bliss. I was bliss. I am bliss. I can't deny what I experienced, there was light.

IV: You clothe me in light, just like you clothe yourself in a body of flesh and bones. But I am Spirit without a body. Have you not felt blissful without the light?

EJ: Actually yes. I feel bliss without experiencing any light, it's like I know I am bliss and I am bliss, if that makes sense.

IV: Absolutely. You get a sense of my presence in the stillness. You are all used to seeing various hues of light and each individual interprets my presence in a personal way that works for them. And you all come to an agreement that I am bliss, or so it seems.

EJ: Yes. But are you Light or not?

IV: I am Light if you experience me as Light. I am Love if you experience me as Love. I am Bliss if you experience me as Bliss. I am Spirit if you experience me as Spirit. I am Truth if you experience me as Truth. I am Consciousness if you experience me as Consciousness.

EJ: Hmmm! But what are you? Can't you be more specific?

IV: I am formlessness, without concepts.

EJ: Hang on a minute...Bingo! I now see why I experience you as bliss because without concepts there is nothing for me to think about and when I don't think, there's nothing to fret over and when I don't fret, I am in a state I call bliss. This suggests that bliss is an interpretation.

IV: I am whatever you experience me to be. Know that I am formlessness.

EJ: OK. Do you mind if I see you as Light in this dialogue?

IV: I am whatever you experience I am.

EJ: OK, you are Light.

IV: I am the one Light in all. I am Life.

EJ: In our previous dialogue, you talked about being the one Life and that one can "delude oneself" into thinking that one has a life of one's own. Can you put this into context in this dialogue.

IV: When you see the ocean what you do think of?

EJ: The ocean of course.

IV: Do you think about the creatures within the ocean?

EJ: Not really. I just think how huge it is. Only if I was an oceanographer of some other type of scientist would it interest me to think about what lies beneath. If I want to think about the creatures I watch a documentary or something. Where are we going with this?

IV: Imagine the one Life as the ocean. When you think of the fishes and plants in the ocean you are seeing the ocean in parts. When you think of yourself as human or as part of the human race or as having a soul, you are separating yourself into little parts. In truth, you are the ocean, you are Life, You are Light.

EJ: Didn't you say in the last dialogue and I quote:

"...there is only one Life and you, EJ, are a vessel. You must let the one and only Life express through you the vessel." Whose life is it anyway?
IV: Yes I did. We also ended the same dialogue by me saying and I quote:

"When you live with the truth that there is only one Love, Will and Life, you are God, the all in all."
God is Light and it is you. When you are identifying yourself as the ocean, you are the Light/God the One. When you are being a creature or many creatures within the ocean, you are a vessel for the One to express through.

EJ: I am Light, is this what you are saying?

IV: Yes. Being the Light is being the all that is.

EJ: Why is it so difficult to accept oneself as the Light? We are so used to thinking small and it seems like blasphemy to claim one's identity as the Light. Who do you think you are, God?

IV: You can choose to identify yourself as a drop of water, a pond or a lake if that's what rocks your world. But the truth is the ocean is who you are and you cannot change that.

EJ: Thank you for that reminder. I want to ask about manifestation.

IV: I know what you are trying to ask. All life is the one cohesive Light that appears to be in continuous motion as new creations on the one hand, while remaining still and unchanging on the other. As it is a cohesive whole, one point of consciousness can affect the whole. It is rather like looking into a kaleidoscope when you observe different patterns of light. But the changing patterns are illusory in nature for they are mere reflections of the one light.

EJ: What do you mean by "one point of consciousness"?

IV: There is only one Light, one Life and one Consciousness. Each of you is the One Consciousness. Before a thought there is a gap, the stillness between thoughts. For some that gap could extend to hours, days, months and years even; for others that gap is negligible. The gap between thoughts or silence is when you are being the one Consciousness. Thus, each of you is the one point of consciousness capable of influencing the one cohesive whole. Are you still with me?

EJ: Yes.

IV: Now, when you identify yourself as the one Light or ocean you are the "one point of consciousness," the one looking through the kaleidoscope and rotating the instrument to produce different patterns of light called creation. Manifestation is the art of producing different light patterns. As the one Light or Life, you are the conductor of the Light orchestra.

EJ: Wow!! You mean the universe is a kaleidoscope and I am the one creating the patterns.

IV: No, Life is the kaleidoscope and the observer. Remember I said "All life is the one cohesive Light." Oneness is cohesive, always cohesive. When you think about something you are the thing; you arise in consciousness as one. Thus, the universe may appear to be out there from you but the truth is you are the universe. When you are typing, it is the universe typing. When you are laughing it is the universe laughing. Whatever you're doing, even having a pee (and this statement is specifically for you C) it is the universe having a pee.

EJ: No wonder.

IV: What?

EJ: No wonder it seems like whenever I'm thinking something, I see the thought around me in some form or another.

IV: Yes, you are being the one thought in all. You are all trying to express the one thought but they come out different. Do you want to share an experience of telepathy you once had.

EJ: I was re-taking a Pranic Healing course, which you can do for free just to keep you up to date. Part of the course includes practising receiving and giving distance-healing. We all paired up. Some of us were sent to another part of the building and our partners remained in the workshop room.

When it came to my turn to receive healing, I relaxed and stilled my mind. I had a sense of being in a park with lovely flowers. It felt really peaceful and I wanted to stay there forever. Then I got a picture of a ladder. After we'd finished receiving and sending healing, we reconvened to give feedback. Some people described different sensations. I shared what I had experienced. My partner looked at me in amazement. She said she had sent me peace. I guess for me being in a park is peaceful. I asked her what the ladder meant. She said she'd visualised a ladder in my body which she used to check out my organs to see if everything was fine.

IV: By the way, there is no such thing as telepathy. You are all sharing the one thought though you may have different interpretations or expressions of the one thought.

EJ: Oneness is amazing.

IV: Indeed.

EJ: I'm lost for words.

IV: Indeed.

EJ: Will you stop saying "indeed"?

IV: Indeed.

EJ: Anyway, I am going to end this dialogue here. I'm sure we'll talk some more but I feel like I need to be in silence.

IV: Indeed.

Enocia

The Peace of God

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12: 1-2)
In Tales of the Time Loop, David Icke discusses the possibility of flying. Mind is unlimited and there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to fly but you have to convince your body of this. Try jumping out of a high building and you’ll soon know whether your body and mind are on the same page.

I have noticed that there seems to be two versions of me. There is the me that wants to get up in the middle of the night to have a pee and thinks about food; and there is the me that doesn't think about bodily functions. When I'm in bed and I don't fancy getting up during the night, I switch to the Spirit Self and I feel nothing.

Last night I had a stomach ache signifying I needed to do number twos. I didn't feel like getting up, besides I knew it was also another mortal habit. Then I felt pins and needles all over my body. I called out for help, my way of presenting myself as sacrifice to God. It was as if I was being "lifted" from the body. I was the "peace of God, which passeth all understanding" as Paul has written. It is a peace that is alive and feels like you're encapsulated in a cloud that keeps you safe. In other words,

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91: 1)
When I am in the "cloud" I am not breathing for the peace of God is the one and only Life. It is pure awareness. The only thing that snaps me out of that awareness is when I start thinking and thoughts lead to dreaming.

As for the pain and stomach ache? They had vanished. I remained in suspended animation for a while until a thought crept in. But I was able to return to that state by calling it forth.

The spiritual path is a continuous process of renewing of one's mind, of remembering to present the body as a temple for the peace of God to express through. When you think about it, it's an easy way of being in service to God, just let God express through you. When you do, you leave mortal beliefs and habits behind. To make the peace of God your only life takes constant practice. Then, and only then, is your body under its law; and you can jump out of a building and not "die." I'm not sure whether I'm ready to give this a try, or whether it is God's will for me to jump out of a building. Hahaha! Hehehe! Seriously, I have lots of time to explore that possibility. Hehehe!

The following Psalm describes what happens when one is living in the clouds.
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2] I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
[3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
[4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
[5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
[6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
[7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
[8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
[9] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
[12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
[13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
[14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
[15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
[16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalm 91)

Why Here and Why Now?

Have you ever wondered why you are drawn to live in certain areas or a particular country? Some people like the climate, the neighbourhood, the culture, the food or it might be because of work opportunities or relationship commitments. I sometimes wonder why I was born in London when my heritage is African.

A few years ago I wanted to live in Australia. At the time, I found London dreary and depressing. If I were to consider living in another country, there are some that will not appeal because of language barriers or ongoing wars.

But wait. What if there were no barriers? What if I had a universal translator like they do in the sci-fi series, Star Trek? No more language barriers. What if all climates were a constant 75 degrees Fahrenheit? What if there were no discriminations based on the colour of one's skin, gender or religion? What if you could do anything you loved? What if your needs were always met? What if the world was at peace? This means you could live everywhere you choose. You would have to have very good reason to want to live in a particular country when everywhere is just as perfect. What if the world is already at peace and everything is already perfect, it's just we can't see it?

Have you ever gone to a park and observed the trees and flowers? Have you ever wondered why some trees were selected for some areas and not others? Imagine how much planning goes into such a project. What about the planning that goes on in cities for roads and where to build houses. If humans can put so much planning in parks and cities, imagine how much planning goes into life.

By the way, I don't buy the idea of reincarnation i.e. that one is on earth to learn lessons and to grow spiritually. I believe there is only the Omniscient One having life in all. From the perspective of the One Life, everywhere is perfect. Everywhere is fair game. Thus, there is a very good reason why I am on this planet right now, as opposed to the infinite universes. There is a perfect plan for my life. God has planned my life to the finest detail. Jesus puts it this way:

"Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." (Luke 12: 6-7)
God is aware of everything that goes on in our lives because God is life. Every action has a purpose. When you view your life as human or a little speck in the universe, you see life as random and without meaning. But when life is viewed from Oneness, every action counts.

Yesterday after I came from the library, I waited for my bus. It seemed to take ages for my bus to arrive. A woman in her car stopped in front of the bus stop. She beckoned me over and asked me where the library was. She said she'd been driving up and down the road and couldn't find it. I told her I'd just come from the library and pointed her in the direction.

Later I went to browse in a bookshop. I don't often go to that bookshop and I decided to stop off before going home. A man sat beside me with Deepak Chopra's book, The Way of the Wizard. I asked him whether he was a fan. He said he'd read several of his books. Then we discussed spirituality. He shared some of his experiences and realisations. He talked about some charity projects he's involved in which I was very interested in. I knew that meeting had been planned by the One Life.

On the bus on my way home, a man got on and sat beside me. I didn't feel like getting into a conversation so I stared out of the window, but he said hello. His speech sounded slurred as if he was drunk. He asked me if I'd ever been to Barbados, where the singer, Eddy Grant comes from. I said I hadn't. He said he knew someone who played drums on his song "I don't wanna dance." I knew the song and sang part of it to him. He said he was a musician and that it was hard work and you have to practise. Then he mentioned the historian, Josephus, who wrote about Jesus. My friend said Josephus' testimony of Jesus confirms his Bible is true. He talked about Jesus being the way, the truth and the life. Just before he got off the bus he stared straight into my eyes and said, "We must all do our part to bring the Kingdom of God on earth," then he staggered out of the bus. Could I have planned such a meeting? I think not.

I know there is one Life and this Life has brought me on Earth right now for a particular purpose. Just because I'm here doesn't mean my work is solely for humanity. I am a representative of the Light, working for all Life. I am also aware that the one Life has prepared people for me to meet along the way, all part of the unfolding of my purpose.

There is a purpose to my life. I trust in the process called Life.

Love and Light,
Enocia

Making the Crooked Places Straight - The Michael Jackson Trial

"I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel." (Isaiah 45: 2-3)
From the human perspective, one sees life as polarised: good/evil; love/hate; enemy/foe. Imagine you wake up one day and realise that everyone you see as different from you is actually you in disguise? How would you treat others when you know what you do to others you are literally doing to yourself? When you realise that there is only one Life and Love in all, your perspective of the world changes.

In The Jesus Code, the author, John Randolph Price, shares how fearful he was when he once received a tax demand from the IRS, the American equivalent of the Inland Revenue, that he couldn't meet. He turned to Spirit for guidance and he heard the words, "I am the IRS." In other words, God is all in all, therefore John shouldn't fret but trust that God will meet the demand. He said he soon received a cheque which he used to pay off the demand.

I have been following the Michael Jackson trial, at least I've been aware it's been going on. I am a huge fan of Michael. My favourite album is Off the Wall. There was a time when I couldn't go to sleep without listening to that album. As you can probably imagine, I was deeply concerned about the trial.

I'm sure many of his fans prayed or wished for Michael's victory. Despite my admiration for Michael, I didn't pray for his victory. How could I, when I know there is only One in all? Can God play favourites? I simply acknowledged the One Love in all appearing as the prosecution and defence team, the jury, Jackson's family, his fans, the paparazzi, everyone; and trusted in Love to be made manifest.

I believe there's more to the trial than meets the eye. From the ego's perspective, success equals fame and fortune. Think of how many people profited from Jackson's huge empire. The papers say Michael is now in a lot of debt and may have to get rid of his assets. The world is waiting to see whether he can regain his stature.

From the perspective of the One in all, however, I see that Michael has had the opportunity to experience life as a god, when you go it alone and do things your way. I am reminded of Christ's teaching:

"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16: 26)
Is it possible Michael is being stripped of what the world has to offer in exchange for Divine Love's hidden riches? Is the trial God's way of making the crooked places straight?

Anyway, as a fan I'm glad that at least the trial is over. I trust in Divine Love to work for the good of all.

All my love,
Enocia

Whose Life is it Anyway?

"The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 24: 1)
The following is a dialogue with the Inner Voice (IV) or Spirit on a bus journey yesterday.

IV: If you want to be like God let God do what God does.

EJ: You mean "let go and let God", right?

IV: Not quite. "Let God do what God does" means there is only one Life and you, EJ, are a vessel. You must let the one and only Life express through you the vessel. There is only one Will, one Life, and one Love.

EJ: But surely I am having life, how can I not have life?

IV: You have no life of your own; you are living my life. However, you can delude yourself that you are living your own life and when you do, there are consequences. When you think you are living your own life, you give birth to a situation. Where there is a beginning there has to be an end. This reality you have created is under cause/effect or what is commonly called karma. Because you believe the life you're dreaming is your own, you decide when to terminate that life and dream up a new one. This you call reincarnation.

Isn't it interesting that many of you abhor the idea of suicide and will do all you can to deter it? You argue that one should not end one’s life as it is not yours to end. Yet, you commit suicide all the time when you dream up new lives and terminate them through the dream process called death because you believe life is yours to do as you please. Life and death, cause and effects, beginning and end, are all dreams arising from the belief that you have your own life.

I am the only Life and there is no other life.

EJ: So what you are saying is that you are the only one having life, right?

IV: Yes.

EJ: If there is only one life and you are that life, what makes us believe in separate lives? If we are so deluded, then we must have inherited that delusion from you, the only life, right? You have given us freewill, have you not?

IV: Very good points you’ve raised. Life is like the Internet. In order for people to have access to these articles, they have to log on to the Internet. Everyone can access the same ideas on this website. How people interpret the ideas is a different matter. In the same way, each of you is like a computer outlet that is connected to the Internet. You are all the same. The problem arises when you start naming experiences.

EJ: What do you mean by naming?

IV: When you name something you give it life. You consciously took on new names didn't you? Is your name Enocia Joseph?

EJ: Yes and yes.

IV: Would you like to explain why you chose those names?

EJ: Enocia is from Enoch. It is written in the Bible: "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." He is believed to have translated into Spirit without dying. I interpret it to mean that he lost all sense of his own life and was one with the only Life. Joseph was inspired from the biblical Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers. He had such faith in God that even when he interpreted dreams he said: "Do not interpretations belong to God?" So this is why I chose those names.

IV: You ascribed meanings to these names and these names have come to life and are your inspiration.

EJ: Ha, it could be that I chose these names because they were your interpretation.

IV: Indeed, as you are walking with God.

Do you see the power of naming? When you go round naming an experience or a thing you give that thing life according to your belief. This is what you have done with diseases, for example, you have named them and made them come to life.

EJ: What has all this got to do with us having freewill or you being deluded?

IV: Each of you is a portal to experience all that is called Life. But when you name yourselves you believe "in your own press," that you have your own life. Remember the analogy of stories on the web. Everyone has access to the same article. But when you start analysing the articles or reading new meanings into them based on your experiences, you are naming the articles. You breathe new life into the articles.

EJ: But we all do this all the time. I interpret what I read based on my experiences.

IV: You interpret what you read based on your experiences because you believe you have a different life from the author. In other words, you have your own life.

EJ: But surely everyone has a different perspective. We are all unique, aren’t we?

IV: Yes and No. There is only one life so how can the one be unique when it is the only one life? Once you have published this dialogue on the blog, there will only be one version on the web. How other people interpret this dialogue, their perspectives, would make it seem as if there are many versions. These different perspectives are the equivalent of human personalities. Human personalities are results of people having their own lives. The many perspectives do not change the truth that there is only one Life, one Truth, one Love, one Will; the One that is in all.

On the other hand, I the One Life may choose to have different experiences through different vessels. One vessel expressing Truth may appear to have a different personality to one expressing Love. But they are still my attributes being expressed how I choose.

EJ: OK, I get you. So how do I get around naming? I mean everything has a name. Do I go round not using words or labels?

IV: You could think of life as eternally being, thus every action is the I Am being. You are not typing but the I Am being. You are not eating but the I Am being, etc.

EJ: I think I've lost track of where we are going with this.

IV: There is only one Life. When you believe you are having your own life, you believe you have your own soul or spirit learning from experience. This is an illusion and they have consequences; a cause has an effect. You are allowed to continue with this illusion as long as you like. Naming is the result of the belief that you have your own life.

EJ: OK, let's say I have created many disasters in my life, is there a "get out clause?"

IV: There is and it is simply acknowledging that you have no life of your own. Let's say you've been ill for a while. You have been going round thinking you have your own life and body, right? You have even named the parts in your body and each part has come to life and vying for supremacy. You come to a point when you accept that you have no life or your own. The one and only Life is wholeness. But you find that, though you have accepted the one life, you are still addicted to seeing yourself and reality in parts. You realise that it takes a lot of willpower to break that habit of seeing yourself as "only human." This is when you have to acknowledge that there is only one Will. The one Will takes over and makes you perfect.

EJ: How?

IV: Let's say you are a drug addict trying to kick the habit. You acknowledge the one and only Will as your guide. Don't think that just because you still have the urge to take more drugs that the power of the one Will is not working. The one Will may inspire you to have another fix where you will find the drugs no longer have any effect, therefore, there is no longer a need to continue taking them. You have experienced what it feels like, have you not, when I have worked through your senses and you have not been able to taste food?

EJ: Yes I have and it wasn't pleasant not being able to taste chocolate. Speaking of food, if there is only your life, this implies that we don't really need to eat to survive, as you are life.

IV: Correct.

EJ: What is the purpose of food?

IV: For experience. I wish to explore different tastes and smells so that is what food is for, not for sustenance. Only when you think you have your own life do you name some food as sustenance and good, and others as poisonous to your system. As you name things, so be it.

EJ: So I can enjoy any food I like without consequences.

IV: There are only consequences when you believe you are living your own life. The One life may choose to have many experiences of eating without consequences; or the One Life may choose to experience life as Spirit where you will find you have no senses to taste or smell, thus no need to eat, and will still be very much alive. Life is eternal. I am that Life.

EJ: Got you. How do you go about healing someone?

IV: If you are moved to help someone going through pain and disease, remember that your desire to help another is my desire to help. You are to remind the other that there is only one Life.

EJ: What if the individual is not receptive to the idea of one Life?

IV: Since I have brought the person to you for assistance, the other will be open to your way. I will let you know whether it is appropriate to share the truth of one life. Whether you verbalise the truth or not, you will still share your consciousness with the other, as there is only One Mind. Know that healing is only going to be temporary. If one wants to enjoy the fruits of the One Life, one has to personally experience the truth of One Life; and this is an ongoing experience.

EJ: What you are saying is that one has to surrender one’s will to the higher will, right?

IV: To surrender one’s will to a higher will as in "not my will but your will," suggests there are two wills. When you acknowledge there is only one will, there is no misunderstanding - there is only one will.

Here are two prayers I recommend that you are already using.

"One Love, One Will, One Life;" and

"Only One exists."
EJ: So if I've made a pig's ear (mess) of my life, I can have a new life by using the above prayer, right?

IV: Correct. No matter how much "mess" you've made of life, you need to be persistent in the truth that you have no life of your own. The one Life is innocence. The one Life will erase what It did not create. Remember the scriptures: "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1: 3)

Think about it logically. The one infinite Life that is whole cannot be sick, can He? The one infinite Life cannot be in lack, can He? You then trust in the one Life to manifest a suitable reality that wipes out lack.

EJ: How does this come about?

IV: Let's say someone who has been falsely accused and imprisoned for a crime he did not commit is found to be innocent, the individual is released. The process of release may take the form of new evidence leading to a re-trial, or simply been freed without the need for another trial. You are to trust in the one Life to unfold the right circumstances that will erase the realities created under the delusion of having your own life. Nothing is impossible with God.

EJ: What is the purpose of life?

IV: To demonstrate that life is eternal. Life is not human, nature, different species; life is love, truth, power and light that are beginningless and endless. Let the one Life be life. I have revealed myself through you as Light, Silence and Love.

EJ: Yes. A few days ago I felt as if something in me burst open and I was overflowing with Love: the sum total of all good feelings, all love, all joy and all happiness. "I am Love" is no longer just a knowing but a feeling as well.

IV: I used that experience to demonstrate that when you let go of seeing yourself as having your own life, you have access to all Love.

EJ: It’s wonderful. Wish I could have that feeling all the time.

IV: You can by knowing you have no life, love or will of your own. You are the I Am Being.

EJ: One more question. Am I destined to be your faithful servant forever? When do I get to play God?

IV: (Chuckle). You get to play god when you believe you have your own life. When you live with the truth that there is only one Love, Will and Life, you are God, the all in all.

EJ: Great! Thank you.

With love,
Enocia

Trusting in the One Life in All

I sometimes imagine how long it would take me to experience the whole of London. A very long time. How long would it take to experience every single nook and cranny of the UK? I dread to think. What about how long it would take to experience every country on earth? You would have to live for a very long time or, if you're into reincarnation, have innumerable lives. As for experiencing other parts of the galaxy, goodness knows how long you'll need for that quest.

There is another way where you can experience all of life without having to do so individually: as the One that is in all. There are over 6 billion people on earth right now yet, there is only one "I" that is having life. If you want to have access to what is going on in the world, you tap into the one "I" and realise that it is your "I." You then trust in this one "I" to unfold as your experiences.

Earlier this week I saw an ad in a library for a flower show which I thought would be fun to attend. I mentioned this to the library assistant. It turned out that not only was she interested in flowers, she is having her own flower show in a month's time which she's invited me to. The flower show I wanted to attend was on today.

Before attending the show I got the address from the same library assistant. She gave me a map of the area. She knew where the show was but she didn't know how to get there. Her colleague knew what bus I should take and advised me where to catch the bus. Though the assistant's advice was very logical, I had a feeling I should travel to the local bus station and catch the bus from there. When I arrived, I saw my bus already at the stop and I missed it. While I waited for the next bus, I studied the map I'd been given but it wasn't very clear. When my bus arrived, I asked the bus driver whether he knew where the flower show was. He hadn't heard of the place but he said "we will find it." I went to sit upstairs. There was a couple already in front so I sat next to them. I asked the lady if she knew where I wanted to go. She did. She described sign posts I should watch out. I followed her instructions and got off at the right stop. Next, I looked for the flower show. I couldn't find it at first then I saw a man and his kids and asked him if he knew. He pointed me in the right direction. It was well worth it; the flowers were beautiful.

As you can see, there is really no need for the human self to have experienced all. All I need to know is my "I" is the one "I" in all, whose knowledge is vast beyond comprehension. I trust in this one "I". I let life unfold effortlessly through me or through others.

I trust in the One Life.

Enocia

The One "I"

"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." (Acts 17: 28)
When I say "I am walking," who is the "I" walking? Well, the "I" can be perceived in two ways. There is the personal I which is a combination of human beliefs and the personal ego, who believes she is moving her legs towards a particular destination and gets tired after a certain number of steps. And then there is the impersonal "I" that is moving the body but is untouched by the movements. This impersonal "I" is the one mover of all whether one is conscious of this or not.

Let’s say I’m sitting somewhere watching the world go by. When I observe people’s reactions and behaviours without naming their experiences, I am the detached observer. The impersonal "I" is the "detached observer." You see, the impersonal "I" cannot be experienced with the mind. As a human, I can feel pain, pleasure, hot or cold etc which are states of mind. As the impersonal "I", I have no sensations, it’s as if I am not there. When I walk, for instance, as the impersonal "I," the body feels ethereal like empty space in motion, yet, the body appears very much human. The impersonal "I" therefore feels intangible but is very much present.

I know I am experiencing life as the personal I when I am passing judgments. By judgments, I mean ascribing a quality or quantity to a thing. Thus, the personal I has a body that is tall or short, fat or thin, male or female, of a particular race, culture, nationality, sexuality, religion, belief, has likes and dislikes etc. This is what makes one human. The impersonal "I" is beyond all definitions and labels, for It is all-embracing and infinite.

When I am observing someone, nature or whatever without judgment, I am being the One impersonal "I" of all. The moment I get into judgment or preoccupied with my identity as human, I am experiencing life as the personal I which is limited. Note that there is no judgment about being human, it is just another perspective of life. Similarly, when one is being a cat, one has a different perspective of life.

To sum up,

The impersonal "I" feels empty; the void that is full yet feels empty.
The impersonal "I" judges nothing.
The impersonal "I" communicates in silence.
The impersonal "I" has no sense of smell.
The impersonal "I" has no sense of taste.
The impersonal "I" is bliss.
The impersonal "I" is infinity.

Is it possible to have your cake and eat it too? I mean, can one live as the personal I and the impersonal "I" at the same time? I believe life is the process of expressing the impersonal "I". For instance, as I type this article I am aware of the ideas from the silence seeking expression. I am also aware of the limitations of having to transmute the ideas into words. Thus, it is the impersonal "I" working in harmony with the personal I to achieve what needs to be done. When the personal I aligns her will with the impersonal "I" she is the likeness of the impersonal "I".

Using the above list of the impersonal "I" as a guide, I'm now going to examine what happens when the impersonal "I" is one with the personal I.

The impersonal "I" feels empty; the void that is full yet feels empty.
When I walk as the impersonal "I" my body feels light. I also experience the world as formless. I can bang my head against a brick wall and the wall feels like it's not there. I can carry stuff which, in human terms should feel heavy, but feels like nothing. I can dismiss an illness into nothing as I have no sensations to feel.

The impersonal "I" judges nothing.
I judge no behaviour. I accept life as it is without judgment. I identity myself only as Spirit.

The impersonal "I" communicates in silence.
I experience life in silence.

The impersonal "I" has no sense of smell.
I have had experiences when I have smelled something I found unpleasant and have switched to the impersonal "I" and had no sense of smell. It is not that the smell was not still present, but the impersonal "I" has no olfactory facility.

The impersonal "I" has no sense of taste.
Not too long ago, my mother prepared a meal that was very spicy. At first I drank lots of water to cool down then I switched to the impersonal "I" and tasted nothing. The only snag about this is the food had no taste at all, nor did I have a sense of having a tongue to taste. I have had chocolate as the impersonal "I" and I might as well have been eating nothing. This is not something I'd recommend if you are a chocoholic like me.

The impersonal "I" is bliss.
To be in bliss means you are not worried about anything or expect to have anything to worry about. You have no thoughts that will make you worry about anything. When you surrender to bliss, you should expect your life and affairs to be blissful i.e. anything that would remove you from that consciousness is erased, such as thoughts, and emotions. As thought-forms are erased, the equivalent experiences are erased from your reality. I am only now beginning to realise the power of bliss to transform anything unlike itself to be like itself.

The impersonal "I" is infinity.
As humans, we are always drawing energy from the infinite "I" which makes our actions unlimited. Imagine what it's like to experience life as the impersonal "I" whose nature is infinity. This means infinite love, bliss, truth, wholeness and all good. Thus, every step I take is the infinite impersonal "I" taking that step. Every word I write is of the infinite impersonal "I". I guess life is expressing the infinite impersonal "I".

The impersonal "I" is only a shift of perspective away. This is the easy bit. The challenge is to remember to remain in the consciousness of the impersonal "I". That is what I believe spirituality is about - the practice (or ritual) of being Spirit. One ritual is being in stillness.

There is only the one "I"; the rest are poor imitations.

Stop Trying to Figure Things Out

"You always demonstrate on the level where your consciousness abides. It is not necessary, as a result, for you to learn the secret of how to demonstrate, how to bring the invisible into form, because you have been doing this all your life. The power of mind cannot do otherwise than demonstrate in accordance with the way in which it is used.

"Therefore, you do not need to exercise faith in your ability to perform miracles, for if you will only exercise enough faith to lift your consciousness to a higher level, the miracles will take care of themselves. They will happen not as a result of human thinking, but as a spontaneous result of Christ-like being. You could not stop the miracles any easier than you could stop your life." (The Door of Everything, by Ruby Nelson)
There is a new breed of reality TV shows where people, mostly women, go through radical makeovers to have their dream bodies. Last night, I watched a programme called The Swan which transforms "ugly ducklings" into swans fit to enter a beauty pageant. Two women were put through the works: liposuction, face implants, body restructuring, laser eye surgery, cosmetic dentistry, physical training, diets, and life coaching. The transformations were remarkable. It makes one wonder, if modern technology can transform one overnight, who needs a God?

After these women have gone through so much pain to have their dream bodies, they have to keep up with their diets and exercises, otherwise it's back to being Mr Blobby. Hey, no pain no game, right? Those who can afford it will continue to have nips and tucks as and when.

There are those who are tired of the human way and seek other ways of being, the spiritual path. But, as they say, "old habits die hard." People who choose the spiritual path come with an "I have to figure out how this thing works" approach to life. Unfortunately, this type of attitude doesn't cut it with Spirit. If you really want to figure things out for yourself, you are left to get on with it. Once you've exhausted all your techniques and resources, you realise that walking in the Spirit involves trust in a power that is beyond human understanding. Your job is to be the Love that you are and leave the rest to Love to sort out. What you need to know is revealed to you. If it's not, don't worry about it. All is well

I've stopped trying to figure things out. What I know and write about comes so easily, it's like switching a tap on and letting it flow. I seriously don't think about what I write. The moment I start thinking, I find the ideas don't flow and I know I am trying to figure things out. So I leave it as a draft. If it wants to be published, I trust the idea will unfold effortlessly in its own time and in its own way.

Here's an excerpt I've used ad nauseam which is worth using again.

"A Bhakta and a jnani (a follower of the jnana marga) were walking through a forest and became very thirsty. They came to a deep well with water far down and the sides overgrown with bush and briar. There was no way of obtaining water. The jnani overcame the difficulty by expending great psychic force to assume the form of a bird. Then he flew down through the bushes and briars, losing many feathers on the way. On the other hand, the bhakta yearned for the Lord's grace and called fervently on His name. The Lord hearing and responding, the waters rose to the level of the bhakta who was thus able to slake his thirst completely." (Sai Baba, Man of Miracles, by Howard Murphet p. 179)
Life is not meant to be figured out; life is for living.

Love and Light,
Enocia

The Problem with Judging by Appearances

"For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." (1 Samuel 16: 7)
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." (Isaiah 40: 8)
When I came out this morning I noticed the sky was overcast. Hmmm! It looks like rain, or does it?

Expecting rain because of an overcast sky is judging by appearances. Who can blame me for arriving at that conclusion? You're so used to linking overcast sky with rain that you can't imagine another possibility. I could even have checked the weather forecast and prepared accordingly; and what I expect is what I would have experienced. Someone has to keep the meteorologists in employment.

What if I look at the clouds but strongly believe it's not going to rain? Believing in one thing while majority around you hold opposing beliefs is going into a battle of wills where only the fittest survives. Beliefs and positive thinking might work on the short-term but they are based on the same level as the clouds. It's like the old cliché about whether the glass is half full (optimism) or half empty (pessimism). Both perspectives are right and wrong. You have to rise above being right and wrong, above beliefs and positive thinking, to the absolute truth. The glass may appear half full or empty but, in Truth, the glass is always full. The Truth of a glass that is ever full is not one perceived by one who judges according to appearances; this Truth is a knowing that the Substance/Essence fills all space.

Back to the overcast sky. To cut a long story short, I remembered the sky was hidden behind the clouds. I imagined myself rising above the clouds until the clouds were miles below me. I knew myself as the radiant blue sky. Then I went about my business. The clouds dissipated and there was radiant sky, at least in my local area.

The clouds represent collective human beliefs of all time. These wisp-like beliefs have no basis in Truth as they are forever changing and "evolving." Truth is like the radiant blue sky that is ever-present and constant. The sky knows nothing of clouds, it is clear, steadfast and true, boundless and infinite.

I believe the spiritual path is about not judging by appearances. As Jesus puts it:

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7: 24)
In other words, if you're going to judge you have to base it on Truth. When you judge by appearances without solid foundation, you are being tossed about by passing clouds that remain as long as beliefs hold them in place. You will have to wait for the right season to make your move. According to consensus reality, summer is meant to be the time for cloudless skies, unless you're living in the UK. Who wants to live their life based on beliefs? I certainly don't.

Beliefs come and go but Truth stands forever.

I am the Sky,
Enocia

Life is Eternal

I overheard someone say yesterday "My life is in God's hand. When God is ready to take me, I will go. It's all in God's hand."

I thought to myself that this is a false belief. God is Life and God is all in all, therefore, Life is eternal. Why would God/Life wish to end life?

It makes me think of the many near-death experiences I've read where some people have described a voice or a being telling them "It's not your time." How can there be a time to die when death is an illusion? Who then tells people it's time to die? No other than the voice of false belief, the voice of death.

If there is a God that decides when one should die, it's not a God I know to be real. It is a dream God.

There is no time to die for there is no death in life.

Life is eternal.

Life and Love,
Enocia

The Clear View

"So where exactly is this Buddha nature? It is in the sky-like nature of our mind. Utterly open, free and limitless, it is fundamentally so simple and so natural that it can never be complicated, corrupted, or stained, so pure that it is beyond even the concept of purity and impurity. To talk of this nature of mind as sky-like, of course, is only a metaphor that helps us to begin to imagine its all-embracing boundlessness, for the Buddha nature has a quality the sky cannot have, that of the radiant clarity of awareness. As it is said: 'It is simply your flawless present awareness, cognizant and empty, naked and awake.'" (The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, Sogyal Rinpoche)
Just before you go out you check what the weather looks like outside. From the grey clouds, it looks like rain. Do you take your umbrella and a warm jacket with you, just in case? Or do you ignore the weather believing it’s going to be a sunny day no matter what the weather looks like or the weather man has predicted.

When majority of people are expecting rain because of the climactic conditions, it's going to take more than strong belief or positive thinking to manifest a sunny day. You need a miracle, mate. On second thoughts, you need to know the Truth. Is there such a thing as a weather or climactic conditions.

The clouds and weather forecasts represent human beliefs sometimes referred to as race mind, carnal mind, ordinary mind or mortal mind. If your focus is only on race mind beliefs you will miss the ever-present real Mind, your Buddha nature.

How do you get to know the real Mind, your Buddha nature? You have to experience it in a spiritual practice such as meditation, Yoga or being in silence. Once you’ve experienced Mind, you know it is always present. Our Buddha nature is like an aeroplane ascending above the clouds. You look out of the window and bask in the radiant blue sky. The sky is the constant truth behind the clouds; our Buddha nature that human beliefs obscure. What happened to the clouds? They haven't gone away, they are still down there. But if you don't rise above the clouds you will never know the radiance that you are; you would still be living your life based on appearances, and other people's beliefs.

And you know something, when I ignore weather conditions and focus on the radiant sky, the sun "comes out" to play.

I already know the radiance of Mind. I already know stillness is my nature. Nothing can ever distract me from my Buddha nature.

Light and Love,
Enocia

The Real Work

"For infinity, the only worthwhile enterprise of a warrior is freedom. Any other enterprise is fraudulent." (Don Juan, The Active Side of Infinity by Carlos Castaneda)
I believe there is only one work worth doing: to live as Spirit. Living as Spirit is the purpose of life, which demonstrates that life is Spirit and Spirit is freedom.

Ask many people what they want out of life and they say they want to be fulfilled, happy, be loved and to manifest wealth so they are free to enjoy life. But the human idea of freedom comes at a price. So you have a wonderful house but it comes with a mortgage, bills, rates and other living expenses. If you can afford it, you could hire others to help run the house, which gives you more stuff to worry about unless you don't mind of course. That is not my idea of freedom.

You want a nice car to get you around. Again a car has to be maintained as they have not been created to last or that might be your belief. Is this freedom?

What about running your own business? It feels wonderful having control over your affairs. Let's say your business expands and you have to employ others to help with other tasks, and before you know it you're worrying about how to sustain your employees etc. That is not my idea of freedom.

The many jobs humans have created, and continue to create, are Mickey Mouse jobs? Ostensibly, these jobs are to give us the freedom and fulfilment we dream of but often it is the reverse. Two days ago I watched a documentary about a couple whose daughter has been missing for many years, presumed dead. They’ve been inspired to set up a trust in their daughter's memory to protect others from going through what they had, and to support those who have had similar experiences. The dad showed different tools they use to teach young kids how to protect themselves from attacks. While I can understand the couple's intent, the work they have created is based on fear. If you're going around thinking of how to protect yourself, it means you believe in a reality of attack and violence. On the other hand, you could go round knowing the truth that Love is the essence of the Universe and see what happens. This is one example of what I mean by a Mickey Mouse job.

Other Mickey Mouse jobs include insurance companies based on fear; medicine based on belief in illness; the law based on fear; and many many others.

The human reality of freedom is like a free email account with Gmail. They promise you lots of storage space but you end up attracting so much Spam that it's not worth it. I have had to revert to using my Yahoo account with less Spam.

What is the real work? How do you know what it is? There are many on the spiritual path right now, who call themselves "lightworkers" who believe they are here to teach, heal the sick, raise the dead even, just like others before them. Some say they are following people like Jesus' instructions to his disciples which states:

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." (Matthew 10: 7-8)
When these words are interpreted literally, of course people are going to do exactly that, after all, there are many sick and dead people. But the same Jesus says:

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6: 63)
Jesus is speaking of the truth of reality which is spirit and when his words of spirit are understood and accepted as Truth, they come to life and become one's life. Thus, when Jesus speaks about healing the sick, he is speaking about those who have forgotten that they are joy and love, not sickness in body; when he talks about raising the dead, he is speaking about reminding the "walking dead" passing off as life that they are eternal Life; when Jesus talks about casting out devils, he is talking about letting go of false beliefs in sickness, suffering and death. Naturally when one accepts one's nature as Spirit, the body and one's affairs are made whole and will appear to human eyes as healing, being raised from the dead and having your needs met.

Jesus' words of spirit are demonstrated throughout his ministry. When Jesus tells a man to follow him, the man tells Jesus he needs to bury his father first. Jesus says "Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead." (Matthew 8: 22) If this is interpreted literally you wonder how the dead can bury the dead when they are already dead. Jesus is saying that when one identifies oneself as a human or mortal, you are a walking dead. He is telling us to walk in the Spirit, to follow the path of Truth, not of human beliefs.

When Jesus first hears that Lazarus has died, he says "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep." (John 11: 11). But when his disciples take him literally he clarifies, in their own level of understanding, that Lazarus is dead. He then wakes up Lazarus from his sleep, which is experienced in human terms as being resurrected from the dead.

In another example, a "ruler" asks Jesus to heal his daughter who is almost dead. By the time Jesus gets to his house someone tells the ruler not to bother Jesus as his daughter is dead. Jesus tells the mourners that the girl is asleep. The mourners think Jesus is mad and they "laughed him to scorn." But Jesus knows that death is another form of sleep where one is dreaming one is dead. He ends up waking the girl from that sleep.

So as we can see from the examples, Jesus is speaking of the spirit as he knows we are spirit. Jesus stands for eternal Truth that is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus, who knows life is eternal, will not send his disciples to raise the dead as life does not know death; he will be speaking error. Jesus knows that we are already perfect and will not send people to heal the sick. Truth can only speak Truth. This is why Jesus' ministry is one that is always reminding others of their spiritual nature, "waking" people out of their "sleep."

I'm sure the young girl the biblical Jesus "raised from the dead" eventually died because she hadn't reached a level of understanding where she knew herself as immortal life. Even Jesus' disciples, who had walked with him and later had their own ministries, died, because they also had not accepted they were immortal life. Perhaps they mastered death in other lives.

The real work is to demonstrate that we are Spirit. No one can do the work for you; each of us has to do the work of realisation for ourselves.

Instead of wanting to manifest wealth and riches, maybe we should realise the abundance that we already are which manifests as life.

Instead of every man and his dog wanting to heal, maybe we should realise that we are already perfect and let perfection be made manifest as wholeness.

Instead of wanting to do great works like raising the dead, maybe we should relinquish the belief in death and realise that we are Life.

Instead of wanting to teach others the truth, maybe we should realise that we are Truth.

Instead of wanting to bring more love and peace into the world, maybe we should realise Love is all there is.

I believe my only job on earth is to remember that I am Spirit and to live as Spirit. "Any other enterprise is fraudulent."

Light and Love,
Enocia

Seeing is Believing

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law." (Psalm 119: 18)
There is a lovely story in the Bible about a prophet called Elijah and his servant, Elisha. Elijah has been training Elisha to be his successor. His time on earth is coming to an end.

"And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan.

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over." (2 Kings 2: 9-14)
Now it is written that Elisha saw Elijah being taken up to heaven in a "chariot of fire." What is being described is that Elisha could see with his inner vision. An observer without inner vision would have seen Elijah disappear into thin air, but Elisha saw there was a reality of Light that Elijah had vanished into. Elisha's ability to see granted him his request. In fact, the power was not Elijah's to bestow but that of God. Elisha had demonstrated that he had the inner vision which made him a worthy successor.

Later on during Elisha's ministry, he and his servants are surrounded by a Syrian army who have been sent to capture him. When Elisha's servant sees the army, he is frightened but Elisha assures him they are safe. "Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them." His servant is not pacified. Elisha asks God to open his servant's inner vision so he can see reality as it is. Elisha's servant is able to see that "the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." (2 Kings 6: 17) Elisha's spirit army is able to make the army temporarily blind.

Here we see that Elisha trusts more in what appears to many as the invisible realm. His miracles are based on his trust in Spirit than in what he experiences with his senses.

"Seeing is believing" is absolute truth but not seeing with the "physical senses." It is an inner vision where if you can "see" it with your inner sight, it is done. If you look around you and see only forms you are seeing only in parts. The real world is filled with Light. All that we experience, even darkness, is encapsulated in radiant Light. But our eyes have to be open, the way Elisha's eyes were open, to bring this reality of Light into physical manifestation.

I see reality as it is.

Enocia

The Nature of the Light/Mind

"Do not make the mistake of imagining that the nature of mind is exclusive to our mind only. It is in fact the nature of everything. It can never be said too often that to realize the nature of mind is to realize the nature of all things." (The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, by Sogyal Rinpoche)
Light is the nature of all; the Light is life.

I have described my experience of the Light or Mind as follows:
The Light is boundless, there are no limits.
The Light has always been, there is no birth date.
The Light is purity and unaffected by human good or evil.
The Light is pure presence, being, and awareness.
The Light is impersonal.
The Light is free from all concepts and beliefs.
The Light is eternal bliss. Seeking What You Already Are
To understand the nature of all life, I use my experience of the Light/Mind as a yardstick for life. Here are a few examples.

The Light is boundless, there are no limits.
Life is unlimited. Whether you choose "good" or "evil," your choices are always unlimited.

The Light has always been, there is no birth date.
Life is eternal. Death is not the truth of life and is therefore a dream.

The Light is purity and not affected by human good or evil.
Nothing one does has any impact on the Light as the Light is forever pure. Thus, one’s experiences can neither add nor take away from the Light. The Light is Grace where every moment is a new opportunity to choose again. One is being the Light when one is not judging others by past experiences or beliefs.

The Light is pure presence, being, and awareness.
Life is a constant awareness and acceptance of what is. Nature is pure presence, a tree is effortlessly being.

The Light is impersonal.
Though life may appear as different forms, there are no personalities in Light just the One Light, the one "I" having life.

The Light is free from all concepts and beliefs.
To have life is to be free. When one has no beliefs about nature, diets, health etc, one is truly free to be or experience life as it is. When one is in stillness one is free of all concepts and beliefs.

The Light is eternal bliss.
Where there are no concepts or beliefs, when one is enjoying being, one is in bliss. Life is bliss. It is our nature to be in bliss.

The Light can be experienced in silence or stillness.

To live as the Light one has to forsake the world's ways, of beliefs and concepts, and surrender to the Light that is eternal bliss.

It is our nature to be the Light.

Light and Love,
Enocia

Seeking What We Already Are

"Saints and mystics throughout history have adorned their realizations with different names and given them different faces and interpretations, but what they are all fundamentally experiencing is the essential nature of the mind. Christians and Jews call it "God"; Hindus call it "the Self," "Shiva," "Brahman," and "Vishnu,"; Sufi mystics name it "the Hidden Essence"; and Buddhists call it "Buddha nature." At the heart of all religions is the certainty that there is fundamental truth, and that this life is a sacred opportunity to evolve and realize it."(The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, Sogyal Rinpoche, p. 48)
I believe the one thing that we seek is to be in our right minds. We end up looking to others to tell us what this mind is. Many people have their views of the One Mind. The irony is that the thing that most people spend their whole lifetime, even lifetimes, seeking is right there in front of them. If only we realised that this Mind is already who we are and that it is the very seeking that obscures what we already are.

I for one have done things in reverse. My religious background is Christianity; I was brought up as a Methodist. As soon as I could I rejected Christianity. Then I started meditating. I had no expectations of meditation, I just thought it would be fun. It was during meditation that I first realised my Buddha nature or Rigpa, as the Tibetan Buddhists call it.

Rigpa is a consciousness of stillness and clarity that appear radiant as there is nothing in it. Some have called this consciousness "empty" as it is indeed empty of all concepts. It also feels like you are transparent and naked, like a newborn baby with no knowledge of embarrassment. It is a consciousness of innocence and purity as nothing can taint it. It is a consciousness of being truly awake, pure awareness. Imagine being in a state where you have nothing to worry about and you can just be; Rigpa is eternal presence and immense bliss. In eternal presence there is no sense of me, you or I, there is not even a one to speak of as there are no concepts to describe this presence, just pure being. It is only after having the experience that I have tried to conceptualise the experience, which is impossible as Rigpa is beyond syntax.

I had this experience over and over again. While I felt immense bliss, the moment I came out of it I couldn't sustain that peace and my life in the human consciousness felt dull, meaningless and depressing. I didn't know if it was possible to live in that "exalted state" all the time or if indeed we were meant to. As time went on I was drawn to study different religious teachings. Like I said, I'd already rejected Christianity though I studied Jesus' teachings in the Bible. I was drawn to Buddhism. I remember how excited I was after reading The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche. Here was a book describing the radiant mind, Rigpa, that I had experienced many times. I wanted to meet other Buddhists and explore Buddhism. I started attending meditation sessions at
Rigpa. Though it was nice to be with other like-minds, the religious ritual did not appeal to me. Besides, I had already attained Rigpa without any rituals.

Over the years I was drawn to study Yoga - Raja, Bhakti and Kundalini Yoga. Again I found they weren't for me as I had already attained Samadhi or Rigpa, and my
Kundalini had already been awakened.

I believe religions are doing their best to give their vision of the Light and how to live as the Light. My view is that you can describe the Light till kingdom come, but if you haven't experienced the Light for yourself, the teachings will always be theoretical. Once you've realised yourself as the Light in meditation, Yoga or whatever technique, you realise that the Light is also truth which guides you to live as the Light. But if you are looking for evidence elsewhere you will miss the truth.

So after all the seeking, it is back to basics. The truth is the Light is the nature of all. What is the nature of the Light? I can only speak from my experience of being the Light as follows:

The Light is boundless, there are no limits.
The Light has always been, there is no birth date.
The Light is purity and unaffected by human good or evil.
The Light is pure presence, being, and awareness.
The Light is impersonal.
The Light is free from all concepts and beliefs.
The Light is eternal bliss.

Being the Light is knowing Self and what is true for me is true for all. Different religions call the Light by different names such as God, Buddha nature, Brahman, Krishna etc, but it is the One Light.

Is it possible to live as the Light? Of course but it takes continuous practice. First of all one must experience the Light as a tangible entity as it is reality. Those who have realised the Light can actually share the experience with others who are open, and I don't mean just writing about it.

A few nights ago I shared inner silence with my mother without actually intending to. As she was in pain I told her I was going to connect with the Light and channel healing to her. She sat in a chair next to me with her eyes closed while I was in inner silence. After about ten minutes I opened my eyes and asked her whether she'd experienced anything or had any thoughts. She said she'd had no thoughts and was very peaceful. She had never experienced inner silence before. I told her that she'd experienced stillness, her God-presence. Naturally, I can't do the work of realisation for her, but what I gave her was the evidence that this consciousness is real. If she's motivated she could practise meditation or join me when I meditate.

Once experienced you have to make this experience your life. Nothing is more important. It is the only Life. When one has had the experience of the Light one will be guided by the Light in all ways.

Here are a few realisations of the same Light

This self-originated Rigpa, which from the very beginning was never born,
Is the child of Rigpa, which is itself without any parents – how amazing!
The self-originated wisdom has not been created by anyone – how amazing!
It has never experienced birth and has nothing it that could cause it to die – how amazing!
Although it is evidently visible, yet there is no one there who sees it – how amazing!
Although it has wandered through samsara, no harm has come to it – how amazing!
Although it has seen buddhahood itself, no good has come to it – how amazing!
Although it exists in everyone everywhere, it has gone unrecognised – how amazing!
And yet you go on hoping to attain some other fruit than this elsewhere – how amazing!
Even though it is the thing that is most essentially yours, you seek for it elsewhere – how amazing!" (Padmasambhava, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, by Sogyal Rinpoche)

"And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1: 5)

"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1: 5)

Dudjom Rinpoche wrote:

No words can describe it
No example can point to it
Samsara does not make it worse

It has never been born

It has never been deluded
It has never existed
It has never been nonexistent
It has no limits at all
It does not fall into any kind of category" (The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying)

Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche said

Profound and tranquil, free from complexity,
Uncompounded luminous clarity,
Beyond the mind of conceptual ideas;
This is the depth of the mind of the Victorious Ones.
In this there is not a thing to be removed,
Nor anything that needs to be added.
It is merely the immaculate
Looking naturally at itself." (The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying)
May everyone realise they are the Light.

False Humility versus Meekness

"The genetic mind is the equivalent of a universal belief system that penetrates, to varying degrees, the human instrument of all entities. In some, it immobilizes their ability to think original thoughts and feel original feelings. In most, it entrains their belief system to harmonize with the accepted belief systems of the Hierarchy. In a few, it exerts no significant force nor has any bearing on the development of their personal belief system." Wingmakers
"But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." (Psalm 37: 11)
"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5: 5)
A mobile company has been running an ad campaign using the concept of an oriental teacher giving the company advice on how to run their company. In their current billboard, the teacher states: "Ignore the one who says less is more, for he is a baboon." The company goes on to encourage others to want more. That statement cracked me up. I agree with the "teacher." Who wants less when you can have more? Why do people pretend to be less when they really are more, a lot more?

Look around you and you see people pretending to be what they are not. They pretend to be small or less than so that they will be accepted in society. They join a group that fits in with their beliefs. Let's say the group is a teaching, the intent is to teach what others believe they don't know. So the students play the game of "not knowing." The intent of a group will always get people to conform to the status quo even when the individual has moved on in belief. If you feel you've outgrown that particular group or teaching and try to bring in new ideas, the original intent will not encourage this and will force you to harmonise with the group's intent. To continue to agree with a group when you no longer share the beliefs means you have to pretend to be what you are not. It's a waste of time trying to express your new truth within the group. The best thing to do is to accept the group for what it is, wish members the very best, and make your exit from the group.

In The Active Side of Infinity, don Juan advises Castaneda that in order to let "inner silence set in and become an active part" of him, he has to break away from life as he knows it.

"Your breaking point," he said, "is to discontinue your life as you know it. You have done everything I told you, dutifully and accurately. If you are talented, you never show it. That seems to be your style. You're not slow, but you act as if you were. You're very sure of yourself, but you act as if you were insecure. You're not timid, and yet you act as if you were afraid of people. Everything you do points at one single spot: you need to break all that, ruthlessly." (The Active Side of Infinity, Carlos Castaneda)

Note that don Juan is suggesting that Castaneda is playing a game of false humility. He already is self-assured but is pretending so he can fit in with "race mind" beliefs. At first, Castaneda is very reluctant to follow don Juan's advice as he doesn't want to leave his old life behind. Eventually, circumstances makes him break away from the old life in order to live as Spirit.

I have been in many group situations and I always knew when it was time to leave. Once, with a particular teacher, there came a point when I could see other truths that did not fit in with the teaching and introduced these ideas, but the teacher didn't like this at all. It felt like I was challenging his authority, which wasn't my intention. I had to leave.

What is meekness? The scriptures talk about the meek inheriting the earth. The Spirit can be described as meek as it is in all but lets humanity believe It is not present. Those who are meek realise they are also the One Spirit. The meek do not pretend to be less than to make others feel comfortable with their beliefs; nor do they pretend to be greater than to make others feel small. The meek realise that all is the One Spirit. As Spirit you do inherit the earth for Spirit is all in all.

Back to the notion of false humility. If you think about it, there is only One Spirit anyway experiencing life as all. The One is omniscient. When you realise yourself as the One, there is nothing you need to learn, nor do you need to pretend to be small. To pretend to be small is not only false humility but doing yourself a disservice.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." (Philippians 2: 5-6)

I am meekness,
Enocia

Manna From Heaven

The substance of the Universe is Light, also called universal energy, prana or chi.

We tend to think we see with our eyes or hear with our ears. In truth we see with Mind. Thus, Mind reveals the universe through the sensory organs or in other ways.

Over the years I've experienced the Light in different ways. First, I experienced the world as a tremor. Waiting for trains used to be a real adventure for me because the tracks were continuously in motion, an eternal shimmer that made the tracks appear formless and solid at the same time. I wondered whether others could see this. I was forever looking down at the tracks. Sometimes the shimmer would get so "bad" I would think I was going to fall on the tracks.

I've studied energy healing techniques. When I studied Pranic Healing we were taught how to feel the universal life energy. Again, Mind revealed the energy through feelings and sensations and as fine films of light around people and objects. Some students could see energy as different shades of light.

I also see the Source of Light with my inner version as the brightest Light. The Light also has a sound which is like the way electrical instruments hum but not quite. I know I can hear it.

When I was walking home yesterday I was deep in thought, then I stopped thinking. All around me were zillions of fine light drizzling silently, at least they appear to be falling the way rain falls, and evenly distributed. I have observed that they are not as visible indoors as they are outdoors particularly around trees and woodland areas. The main thing is when I'm in silence I tend to notice energy more than when I'm thinking. It doesn't mean the energy is not still there when I'm thinking, I just don't notice It as much.

There is such a thing called Mana from Heaven.

Thank you Divine Love for providing us so super-abundantly to meet all our needs.

Light and Love,
Enocia

It's Like...I'm Possessed or Something

"Well, Ms Joseph, you speak about being possessed, would you like to describe what that feels like?"

"I don't know, it's just that I don't feel like myself. No, I feel like myself but more myself? No, I feel like a different person."

"In what way are you a different person?"

"I feel happy all the time. I mean, I wake up and I'm in total bliss. I could have a headache and still blissful. What's all that about? It's not normal, Doctor, it's utter madness."

"Hmmm! I see. What other feelings come up for you? Do you see things?"

"Oh yes, I see things but not things that other people see."

"You mean you hallucinate?"

"Don't know if you can call it hallucinating. I see Light."

"Light?"

"Yeah, light, not like light as in sunshine, this light is Light that is more beautiful than any light we've seen and it's wonderful to be with. This Light is me, you, everyone."

"What do you mean it's everyone?"

"Just that, everyone."

"Hmmm! Interesting! Do you hear voices?"

"Yes I do, one voice."

"What does the voice say? Does it tell you to do things?"

"The voice is always talking about love, how I am love, how everyone is love, how love is all there is. The voice inspires me to write about love. It's like...I'm possessed or something by love."

"Hmmm! Very interesting, go on."

"The voice also advises me on how to resolve problems I think I have. But the voice never judges me."

"Anything else?"

"Not that I can think of right now."

"Do you get a feeling of wanting to save the world or save others?"

"Good Lord, no. What makes you think of such a thing?"

"You don't see yourself as a messiah?"

"No way. The voice doesn't tell me to save others, if that's what you are implying. Why would I want to save anyone when everyone has the same voice within? Anyone can hear this voice when s/he listens with an open mind."

"What exactly is this voice? Do you know it's origin?"

"I think...no, I know this voice is my real voice, my one true voice. And another thing, most of the time the voice is silent."

"If the voice is silent how does it speak to you?"

"The silence forms into words...it's difficult to explain, but I get a sense of knowing what things are. I can look at someone and have a sense of knowing in silence and then try to put that knowing into words. Do you understand me?"

"Not really, but let's continue. You say you feel as if you've been possessed which makes you feel like a "different person." I want to explore this "different person." In what way do you feel different?"

"Like I said, I feel joyful and blissful all the time and that is not normal is it? Is it?"

"That's what I'm trying to determine. Please continue."

"I used to feel depressed a lot and considered suicide many times."

"Aha, you have suicidal tendencies."

"I said I used to but then this, whatever it is, took over and I changed into this nice, loving, joyful person. I don't think about suicide anymore, I haven't for a long time."

"Hmmm! This is puzzling. You say you are always happy and blissful and thinking nice thoughts. I don't see a problem. Why are you here? Why have you made this appointment to see me?"

"I love feeling joyful and peaceful all the time. The thing is other people don't think it's normal. They think it's pure madness. Tell me doctor as you're the expert in these matters. What's wrong with being joyful? Is there anything wrong with me?"

Making Waves

So I’m sitting watching birds frolicking around in a pond. A swan dives in causing eddies around the pond. I watch the whirlpool extend to the other side of the pond, seemingly touching other birds. Are the other birds really affected by the swan's actions? While the waves appear to have changed the flow within the pond, nothing really changes. The other birds are happy in their spots feeding and frolicking away.

I see the pond as Universal Intelligence; and the waves are our life experiences. Each of us is like the swan, firmly rooted in his little space in the pond yet having total access to the entire pond. Nothing can change who he is. While the swan has dominion of the pond, his dominion does not frustrate the needs of other birds. They are all totally taken care of.

As Spirit, we are also firmly rooted in Universal Intelligence. You could dream up fabulous adventures which you believe will change the world and encourage or inspire others, but they won't make a dent on the infinite Universal Intelligence that we are. I can write millions of articles on Truth but these articles are only waves in the pond. Nothing I do or say can make a dent on Infinity.

Oh well, it's fun to make waves just for the hell of it.

I am Universal Intelligence,
Enocia

Nothing Can Be Added To or Taken Away from Perfection

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5: 48)
The human experience appears to be imperfect what with...well you know...all sorts seeming to be going on. You try to make yourself perfect by preening and healing; always seeking to add to what is already perfect. Or you try to do the reverse; you try to remove stuff in order to make yourself whole and perfect.

Can you improve what is already perfect? Of course not, perfection is. But the world is imperfect, there are wars, famine, droughts, sickness and death, aren't they? How can these be perfect? I'm saying that what appears to be imperfect lies perfection. I wrote in a piece called What it Means to Live in a Spiritual Universe that a grit can feel quite hard on one's eye when experienced as a grit, but when experienced as Love it is formless and cannot hurt the eye. The world might appear to be imperfect and will continue to appear so for those who continue to perceive it as such. When people shift to realising that all is Love, they will witness the very thing they consider "evil" transform in front of their very eyes. You will see the world reveal its "hidden treasures."

In the film, Total Recall the people on Mars are struggling for survival with many of the inhabitants now mutants. Quaid and his girlfriend, Melina discover that there is an alien technology that once released can give the planet free oxygen and transform the atmosphere. But the leader, Cohaagen, is determined to stay in control and is not prepared to give up this technology without a fight. Quaid manages to release the technology. Before the atmosphere is transformed there is a massive upheaval resembling earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. During this time, Quaid, Melina and Cohaagen are thrown out into the Mars atmosphere. Their bodies can't cope with the environment and they are choking so much their eyes pop out. It is only after the atmosphere has been transformed and the air within has been released that Quaid and Melina return to normal. Cohaagen does not survive.

I believe this movie is a metaphor for the treasures that appear "buried" all because of one's inability to perceive what is. I read somewhere that a little image of a smiling Buddha was uncovered during last year's Asian tsunami. Though I don't buy the idea of disasters being "acts of God," this is a metaphor of the treasures that already exists right here and right now. It's a matter of shift of perception.

No matter how imperfect one feels or experiences the world, perfection is. You might be in pain or see your body as imperfect but you body is already perfect. In order for perfection to be made manifest, you have to hold the vision of perfection, or know it is present. You have to be like a sculptor who already sees the perfect sculpture in a stone. His work is to bring this image into being.

Nothing can be added to or taken away from Perfection. Perfection is.

Let Perfection be.

Love and Light,
Enocia

It's Love Day!

You wake up and think it's another day, whatever it is. Is it a day of work, rest or play? Is it a day when you usually do such and such? Is it a day you've been programmed to do such and such? Think again.

I now have a ritual when I wake up every morning and my first thoughts are: "This is Love Day. It's a day filled with love, joy and is exceedingly good. Thank you Universe that Love is all there is."

Or I think or sing the words of Psalm 118,

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118: 24)
Acknowledging a Day of Love connects me to the essence of the Universe which is Love. I am also connected to the Love that everyone is; even people who are angry have an intent to be Love.

The world may tell us there are 7 days of the week. I say there is only One Day of Love. Every day is another slice of this One Love Day.

What day is it today?
Why, it's Thursday.
No, it is Love Thursday.

Every day is Love Day.

Love and Light,
Enocia

What's the Difference?

I like to save copies of all my articles on email. I usually email myself a copy.

I logged into my email and got excited that I had received an email, which I always do. The server was taking its time to connect so I did other stuff. When I went back to check my email I realised it was an email I’d sent myself earlier but I hadn’t marked it as read.

I am usually able to tell emails apart when I have thoughts of the person sending it. If I can’t now tell the difference between an email from me, Enocia, and an email from someone else, it shows there really is no difference between me and other me's in other human forms.

This also demonstrates that to have relationships and experiences one has to pretend that one is separate. When I'm pretending, I can have different feelings about someone when that person is with me, but when I think about the same person when we are "apart" I feel the same love I feel for myself and others.

What about our uniqueness? I know I express myself in my own unique way. This uniqueness is still at the point where we are pretending to be individuals in order to express ourselves. There is a point when all is One and there is no difference.

Still, it's fun to pretend.

One in Love,
Enocia

The Spiritual Path

"I think this is the distinctive difference between the spirit and the soul. The soul is on a journey with many twists and turns in the road of life. But the spirit is high above the road, overarching it from beginning to end, and knows the peace that passes understanding, the contentment that is never shaken, the Paradise that is ours to enjoy forever. The great thing about this is that we may experience the Paradise while still on the road! The flesh is heavy and weak, but the spirit is willing and waiting. With a few simple techniques, a longing heart, and trust in God's promise to meet us if we seek Him/Her, we can take a break from the lonesome road and enter into 'the congregation of God.'" (Jesus: His words Decoded, His Mystery Teachings Revealed, John Van Auken)
When I first went on the spiritual path it was because I wanted to be free of the personality/ego and beliefs of the collective human consciousness. Although I wasn't fully conscious of the time, I was faced with two paths: the path of learning many lessons; and the path of being who I already am, who already knows all and is all.

Identifying oneself as human can make one so fragmentedthat if the real You were to stand before you, you'd fall down and worship yourself. For years I was also fragmented but my real Self never gave up on me. She was always reminding of who I am.

First were the many visions of the Inner Light during meditation. I knew myself to be that Light and the Light of all. This Light made me realise that when people encounter the Light during a near-death experience the individual is meeting Himself, though the Light is usually mistaken for God, Buddha or Christ etc, according to one’s religious or spiritual belief.

Next, was when I encountered some entities, during meditation, who call themselves Vector8. They are a collective consciousness of Perfection appearing as Light. They reminded me that I was part of that collective and what I was here to do or be. I was very excited at the time and believed I was going to channel their teachings. But they were having none of it. Anyone can channel lovely ideas but ideas are nothing if they are not applied in one’s life. If there was going to be any channelling, it was going to be living the ideas not simply channelling them in writing.

A couple of years ago I went on a two month retreat where I was meditating and contemplating truth. I started hearing screeching sounds which made me think I was losing my mind. After a few weeks the sound dissolved into profound silence. I then saw a being of Light who suggested that I go into the world and live as the Light. I was also inspired to share my experiences with others.

As for my life experiences, at first, there were many lessons to learn. After a while the Inner Voice reminded me that I am That, therefore, I don’t need to learn any lessons. I could either be who I am or get stuck on a “spiritual path” looking for lessons or creating experiences so I can learn from them. I followed my advice.

Next, the inner voice reminded me that there is no cause to the universe and that looking for causes - material, emotional or mental - is a distraction from being who I am. Again I listened to my advice and was able to demonstrate this truth in my life experiences.

The biggest challenge was trusting that all Good is already present and I need do nothing but let it unfold.

Finally, I realised that there is only One Spirit in all, thus I am in fact everything.

As Spirit in expression, I am Joy, Bliss and Love. No matter what is happening I am the same. I know all as Love. Life is fun. There's nothing to learn in Spirit just pure being and that being can be expressed here now.

The purpose of life is to love.
The purpose of life is to be Spirit.

For me, the spiritual path is living with the truth that life is Spirit and where there is Spirit there is liberty, fun, joy, light and love and being one with all.

The other day I was waiting at a bus stop. My attention was focused in the direction of where the buses were coming from but I was compelled to look at someone beside me. I saw a baby in a buggy gazing at me with such love. He reached out to me, wishing me to lift him out. I couldn't take him out of the buggy as he was strapped in it, but I sat next to him and held his hand. Here was a fellow “spirit friend” saying hello. I sat with him in silence, occasionally speaking to his mother, until their bus arrived.

I believe the following song lyrics expresses living as the One Spirit perfectly.
Oh, it's a jolly holiday
With Mary
Mary makes your 'eart so light
When the day is gray
And ordinary
Mary makes the sun shine bright!

Oh 'appiness is bloomin'
All around 'er
The daffodils are smilin'
At the dove
When Mary 'olds your 'and
You feel so grand
Your 'eart starts beatin'
Like a big brass band
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with Mary
No wonder that it's Mary that we love! Jolly Holiday
Love and Light,
Enocia
